It's ok Robin, everything will be ok.

Her constant reassurance did not seem to be working since she was pacing up and down her room, hair in a messy bun, strands falling out of place and her hands fiddling with the rings on her fingers.

Despite never admitting it to him she had to give Steve some credit for his advice, She was going to talk to Nancy, she had so much to say, not to mention the whole love thing but her mind was already too overwhelmed about the task at hand to drag herself up over that.

Her mind was racing at the anticipation of Nancy's arrival when loud knocks on the door interrupted her overthinking.

She hurried down stair nearly tripping over her own feet as she scurried through her house. She ran her hands through the front pieces of her hair and smoothed out her pants before opening the door looking flushed.

Nancy- who also looked flushed, was standing in a long blue skirt, a collared shirt and a vest and was fiddling with the purse at her side.

"Erm-hi!" Robin started, gesturing for her to come inside.

God she looked so perfect.

"Hi!" Nancy replied sounding as cheerful as she could manage, as she stepped inside the house. She made her way up the stairs and towards Robin's room but an awkward silence consumed them both.

Something had changed.

They could both feel it, and it was starting to really worry Robin. Normally the two practically threw themselves at each other but today was different.

Nancy sat down on the foot of Robin's bed waiting for Robin to start chatting away. "Um so nance?" "Yeah?" "I just-uh"

Why was Robin being like this?

Yeah, Robin could be awkward and jittery but something was off.

"I just, I feel like your pulling away from me." Robin muttered her voice coming out more like a whisper, "What??"
"you've been missing our usual hangouts and calls and I'm sorry if it was something I did, just tell me and I'll apologise but..."
"Robin."
at this point the words just kept coming out of Robin's mouth, she knew she should stop but she hoped that somehow she could fix the disaster situation she was in. "I'll fix it! Whatever it is I'll fix it just tell me-"
"Robin!"
The sharp tone of voice was enough to take Robin out of her rambling trance and stand quietly in shock before Nancy started speaking. "you haven't done anything wrong." Robin felt as though a weight was lifted off of her but she sensed there was more coming, "I just- I have a lot on my mind at the moment but i promise I'll make up for it" Nancy finished now feeling incredibly guilty.

"No-no! Sorry! I don't wanna barge in and annoy you, more-I was concerned for you and-" Nancy must've decided that enough had been said between the two because next thing she knew she was shutting Robin up in the only way she knew to be effective. Grabbing onto the suspenders that were on either side of Robin's shoulders giving her no choice but to melt into the kiss Nancy planted on her lips.

Robin seemed to agree that they had done to much talking and returned the kiss placing her hands on Nancy's waist as Nancy snaked her arms over Robin's shoulders.

"And then she pulled me in by my suspenders and kissed me, it was basically the best day of my life"
Robin finished as she played with her hair and trailed after Steve, "well I'm glad someone's happy" he retorted back with a sour tone.
Robin frowned,  "Things aren't going too well with your lover girl?"
She said, finally helping for the first time today and starting to put the tapes away on the shelves, "well... to put it lightly- not great." He replied, Robin knew asking her next question would get her nowhere but she still felt a need to probe further, "So will you finally tell me who it is?" "Nope." A groan escaped from her lips as she was greeted with the exact same answer as always.

The door opened and to no surprise, Nancy was there peering around until her eyes caught onto Robin's and she broke out into a smile. "hey!" She smiled and approached the two, "Hi!" Robin replied with a grin that was stubbornly refusing to leave her face. "What are you doing here? Not that I don't want you here, I do want you here I just-" Robin was interrupted by giggles that poured from Nancy "I'm here to see you of course" she said with a smile on her face.

Oh, how they both wished it could stay that way.
