25th may...

I had the majority of my furniture arriving today, delivery men and handy men were coming in and out of my apartment all day. I tried to help as much as I could, but my skill set left me fairly useless for them. I thought it would be better to get out of their hair for a bit and grab a coffee. I felt in the mood to walk, mainly because it would take more time, and secondly I had barely been out the house lately so the fresh air would be good.

As soon as I started getting into the middle of Monaco and into the city, I realised why I have been at the house so much. The streets were packed, not only with tourists but paparazzi. It wasnt long until I was noticed and a swarm of people began to crowd round me. I tried to be polite and take phots with people but the crowd was getting too big. I slipped into a nearby store, my eyes pleading to the shop keeper to not let them in. I signed in relief as I watched him nod his head to the security to not let anyone else in. "Forget it was Grand Prix week?" He was unimpressed, and lacked sympathy towards me. He was around my age, with dirty blond hair and the bluest of eyes. His skin was tanned, making his hair look even more blonde as he looked over to me. I quickly fixed my hair, "I couldn't forget even if i tried" I huffed looking at the items they were selling in the store. It was a small store selling a few designer and up coming brands. The interior urban and aesthetic. It felt comfortable, the music bringing the whole place together. "If you want an escape route, just ask. You don't need to buy anything" I said nothing and carried on browsing through the store. A t shirt caught my eye in the corner of the store. I looked for my size before bring it over to the counter. The whole action being closely watched by not only the shop assistant but the security too. I pulled my card out and payed as he scanned it, taking the bag out of his hand. There was a moment of awkward silence before he realised he needed to get me out unnoticed. "This way" he lead me to the back of the store and opened a heavy door that lead out to the parking lot, I pulled out my phone to order a taxi to take me home. I looked up smiling gratefully, "thankyou so much for this, i really own you one"
"No need, no need at all" he smiled quickly before going back inside, I would have hoped to have gotten his name, and have had the opportunity to thank him properly.

My taxi arrived not too much later and took me back to my place. I was walking along the corridor, my attention on my phone, texting Mila. Relying on my peripheral vision to lead me to the elevator. I was about to reach the doors when I smacked into someone, hard. I snatched my face up angrily, "hey". My body went cold and I nearly dropped my bag. Looking down at me, smiling one again was Charles. "Looking where you are going next time" my face burrowing with anger. "What are you doing here" even though it was completely my fault for us bumping into each other, I still blamed him and I let him know that. "I live here" he laughed. Suddenly it all clicked. That car. That car I could have sworn to see a million times before. I actually had. It was his, his classic Ferrari 488. How could I had forgotten it. "Um Bronte, you good" I clicked out of my thoughts and smiled quickly. "Yep all good" my tone hushed and quick.
"So you live here too"
"Yep 16B, thats me" my lips forming a thin smile as i made conversation . "Oh fair enough, ill see you around"
"Bye" I made my way to my apartment. Still in disbelief that he lived here too.

I gasped as I entered my apartment, it actually started to look like a home, not an empty box. My kitchen was functional and my living room was cozy. I loved it. I went around adding a few decorational pieces that I had ordered over the last couple of days.
