Charles collapsed onto my couch, as soon as the alcohol wore off. I however went to sleep in the more comfier option of my bed. As soon as I felt the sunlight stretch across my face, I jumped straight into the shower and looked more presentable than I did last night. Secretly I hoped that the alcohol meant Charles wouldn't remember what I looked like last night as I was a mess.

Carefully I stepped into the living room, ensuring I didn't wake him. Which in the end was pointless as he was already wide awake, tidying up the couch from when he slept the night before.
'Shit did I wake you up' worried that the noise of me being in the shower and moving around woke him up.
'No don't worry, you didn't' I smiled contently in return as I made my way over to the kitchen
'Breakfast?' I shouted as I did so.
'Yeah, as long as it's not pizza' he joked while I scoffed at his comment.
'Firstly I've become way better at cooking pizza now that you taught me and secondly I would never have pizza for breakfast'
'Huh, interesting. You're missing out though, pizza for breakfast is the best way to start the day' I strolled towards him as he sat down on a chair, placing my body between his legs and rested my hands on either one of his thighs.
'Oh really, I could think of a much better way to start the day,' I teased with a wink.
'Oh yeah that definitely beats pizza' he said, nearly choking on his words. We both laughed but I couldn't help but noticed his thumb which made circles around the top of my bare thigh. His touch made my skin prick and become hot. We had both waited up until now, and you could definitely tell. Every time I was near him I felt this overwhelming pull towards him, the tension suffocating me and making my mind fuzzy. I pulled away from him as I kissed his cheek, his body pulling towards me as I stepped away.

The entire time I was cooking, I felt him watch me, fascinated with each of my movements. But in true Charles fashion he made no attempt to hide it. Every time I looked up and caught his eye, instead of looking away like a normal, non arrogant person would, he only held eye contact. And in true me fashion, I immediately blushed and turned into a bumbling mess.
'Where is Mila, swear she normally lives here' oh shit, yeah of course he wouldn't know about that.
'Me and her had a falling out'
'Oh what about'
'You actually, well sort of' I let out a weak laugh, trying to remove some of the awkwardness in the room. A look of surprise crossed his face. "We got in an argument about me going to see Lando and not telling you about it first. Then things were said and now we havent spoke in over five days'
'Okay... why don't you just go over to hers and make up' my jaw dropped. Did he really not think I hadn't already thought about that. If it was like any other squabble Mila and I have, I would have done that in a heartbeat. But this fight, this fight was big and messy.
'I don't think it would be that easy to fix. Me and Mila had never fought about something like this'
'Well I'm flattered that I meant that much to have this big fight over,' he taunted, while I rolled my eyes at his lack of empathy and maturity, 'I'm joking, but on a serious note you and Mila are always together and I'm sure you will figure it out. You two are never apart. Trust me I know. She interrupted us kissing like what three times now.' Charles joked. Even with the lack of sympathy, Charles made a good point. Me and mila had been best friends for years, I can't let her leave my life that easily.
'Yeah, I know. I just don't know where to start'
'I'd start by apologising' my scoff was quickly followed by a laugh.
'How do you know that I'm in the wrong' he turned his head to the side and gave me a look,
'okay... okay, I will apologise'

A comfortable silence filled the room as we continued to eat our breakfast, then suddenly Charles dropped his fork down onto his plate and a look of complete infantile excitement took over him.
'Come to the French Grand Prix with me'
'Pardon' I said, nearly choking on my eggs.
'I said come to the Grand Prix. I want to be seen with you, I'm tired of running around in secret and races are always better when you are there'
'Even when I was with lando' I teased as charles rolled his eyes
'Actually it was, it made me race better. Jealousy always boosts my competitiveness'
'I really don't think you need to become any more competitive' I laughed
'Whatever, you love it. But seriously I need to leave in about 4 hours, why don't you come'
'What about the media, what will they say? And I haven't even packed. Also I need to talk to mila' I really wanted to go but reality kicked in.
'Who cares what the media says. They can say you are there to see lando for all that I care. Actually no... I take that back, I would care but like I said jealousy does wonders for my racing. Also I would know you are there for me and that's all that matters. I haven't even packed, there is no need to worry about that. It also doesn't take four hours to pack Bronte so that's no issue. And about Mila you can go over before we leave and I will pick you up from hers. Now any more problems you want me to solve, I'm on a roll here.' I laughed over his naivety about packing, it would indeed take me more than four hours to pack if it was down to me but I could do it in a shorter time if needed. I stared at him as I thought through everything that needed to be done, it was possible. And I really wanted to see him race. The only thing I was anxious about was seeing Mila, I was panicking that she wouldn't forgive me. I continued staring at him for a little longer.
"Urgh fine, I'll come to your race" my tone was riddled with fake unenthusiasm. Charles jumped out of his seat and kissed me quickly on my forehead.
'Okay I'll pick you up from Mila's at 11' he said as he sprinted out my door, leaving me with whiplash over what I just agreed to.
