Of all the ways, this is how it happens. -
"YOU WANNA WATCH A SCARY MOVIE?"
Miekoasked playfully, her lips glazed over with a lip gloss as she raised her eyebrow, toying with Nanami, who simply smirked as he peered into his wallet.
"Hell no." Nanami said bluntly, before a slight chuckle escaped his already smirked lips.
"Awe." Mieko pouted moving in unison with the line Nanami and her waited in at the hospital's convenience store.
"You don't think we see enough 'scary movie' crap from our job?" Nanami question, finally looking up after he determined he had all his belongings he needed. He glanced at all the junk food in Mieko's arms, that almost tumbled over from the huge amount she had. "Where the hell are you putting all that?" He asked, as the woman couldn't even handle all the junk food she was holding.
Mieko stayed silent for a moment, staring at Nanami with puppy eyes, before a smile overcame her entire face and she patted her stomach, dropping a bag of chips in the process, "Here."
Nanami finally let out a full voiced-out laugh at the woman, which only made Mieko's smile more, amused she got the stern man to laugh.
"So no to a scary movie?" "I'm not a fan of them."
"Don't tell me you're a man who only likes action movies with obnoxious shooting." She deadpanned, giving the man a slide eye sly.
"I'm not." Nanami snickered.
"Then how about a psychological twist movie?" "Psychological twist that can realistically happen or psychological twist that's fiction?"
Mieko stayed quiet in thought for a moment, dropping a candy bar in the process to which she seem to not take notice to, however Nanami did. He bent down to pick it up the bar along with the bag of chips.
"Psychological twist that can realistically happen?" Mieko questioned herself, as if her answer was one on a test she was confused about.
Nanami gently passed the junk food she dropped, placing it back into her arms, Mieko whispered thank you before their conversation continued.
"Alright that's not so bad." Nanami answered.
"What about a chick-flick?" Mieko teased Nanami, as he started to pile the food from Mieko's arms on the conveyer belt.
Nanami smiled, finding a way to twist Mieko's earlier words, "Don't tell me you're a woman who only likes chick-flicks?"
The corners of Mieko's mouth curled into a mischievous smile, as she wiggled her eyebrows. "Oh but I am."
