Ch-16 : Options

You looked at Yoonmin who dialed your mother's number and called her to come to the main house. You waited there trying to process everything you were told. You weren't ready to believe it but with everything that had happened in the last 40-42 hours you started to question how much you knew about your life and existence. The room was silent and no one dared to speak as everyone was trying to process the information they heard while the Alpha was observing you closely. After some minutes , frantic knocking could be heard on the door. Minho opened the door and your mother rushed in and was shocked to see you kneeling in front of the Alpha. She rushed to you and observed you for any injuries.

Jiyoon: What happened? What's going on?

Juno: Mom, why didn't you tell me about him?

Jiyoon: Because it would've been better if you didn't know about him. I wanted you to have a normal life like all the other kids out there.

Juno: My existence itself is not normal.

She cupped your cheeks and looked into your eyes.

Jiyoon: You don't need to think like that. Just forget all of it. It's all in the past, we don't need to let it bother us. Let's go home now. You must be tired.

Alpha: She needs to take her rightful place.

Your mother looked at him angrily.

Jiyoon: You didn't need to tell her all those tales.

Alpha: I must say you did a great job at hiding her all these years. Why did you hide her if all those were false tales, Jiyoon?

Jiyoon: I had to keep her hidden from you because I knew you would feed all these stories about the prophecy and the war.

Alpha: But it is true and she has to take her place as the queen that she is.

Jiyoon: Royals don't rule anymore.

Alpha: She is not just a royal, she is an alpha.

Jiyoon: So, what? Our pack already has an alpha and his successor.

Alpha: She still needs to take her place as the alpha. You haven't forgotten what Damon wanted, right?

Juno: What...

Alpha: Damon died in peace because he was sure that you will carry his legacy and take your rightful place as the queen and the alpha.

Jiyoon: He wanted a lot of things and that led him to make many mistakes. And my daughter is not going to bear his stupid legacy.

Alpha: Stupid? You sure did name your daughter after your stupid mate.

Jiyoon: That's enough, Alpha. Me and my daughter are not staying here anymore. We're leaving the pack. Yoonmin, the house is yours and you will do great in the future with your skills and talent. Remember that aunt always loves you.

Alpha: Funny that your daughter tried to do the same this morning.

Jiyoon: What?

Alpha: She breached the security and opened the gates and left the pack after knowing about her father. If it wasn't for the boys, your daughter would've been far away from you running for her life, all alone.

Your mother stared at you bewildered as she reached out to cup your face.

Jiyoon: Jun, why?

Juno: I thought you would be better off without me. If I didn't exist then you could've moved on with your life with someone else and had a happy family.

Jiyoon: Idiot, you and Yoonmin are my family.

Alpha: Also, I don't permit you to leave the pack. We can't let someone as powerful as her get into the wrong hands. If you try to escape, I won't have a choice but to keep you separated from your daughter in the cells where tons of guards will be watching over you.

Juno: What do I have to do?

Jiyoon: Juno, No! Don't you understand, Alpha? I don't want the world to know that she is the descendant of the Wangs. It will just bring danger to her.

Alpha: As long as she keeps her title as the alpha, we don't need to reveal her identity to the world unless needed.

Juno: But Chan is the alpha.

Alpha: Not anymore.

Juno: You can't do that.

Alpha: A queen who holds power over all the wolves in her existence can't possibly be under the reign of a mere alpha.

Juno: But he is more than deserving of his title. He has all it takes and has trained all his life for this.

Alpha: He will work under you and put his abilities to use.

Juno: No, I don't want that. I don't want to be the alpha or the queen. I want to go back to a few days ago when I knew nothing and lived a comparatively simple life.

Alpha: It might be a lot for you to take at once but you have to decide now.

Juno: The royals stopped ruling a long time ago and lived under the reign of other alphas. What's wrong if I do the same?

Alpha: Being a part of the royal family and being a female alpha who is destined to rule are two different things. Not all children of an alpha become the future alpha for their packs.

Juno: I get what you're saying. Yet, my point stands. Chan is more deserving of the title of alpha. I'm not powerful like you think I am.

Alpha: You have just turned 18, you will start discovering more of your abilities from now on and you will be trained.

Juno: Is there no other way? I can work under him.

Alpha: In that case I have three options for you.

Juno: What are they?

Alpha: 1. Like I said, take your place as the Alpha and Chan will work under you since you are concerned.

Juno: I already disagreed to that one.

Alpha: 2. Become the alpha alongside Chan.

Juno: A pack can't possibly have two leaders. There will be difference in opinions and dispute will take place dividing the pack into two groups.

Alpha: And that's why I have option 3 which I think is the best one. You become the Luna while Chan will keep his position as the alpha of the pack.
