The silence was loud.

Mrs.Bái: She is a very good girl. She has everything you could want for in a girl...

Juno: Okay...Seriously? Wtf!

Mrs.Bái: Please don't do this to her. Accept her, Chan...

Mr.Bái: Think about it, Chan. Her life is at stake...

You hear Felix whisper under his breath.

Felix: You've got to be kidding me!

Your distance from Snow's parents helped as they couldn't hear anyone of you but your eyes were set on Chan who was silently sitting there as he refused to look at anyone.

Seungmin: I can't wait to tell everyone at home. Hyunjin and Jisung are going to be so upset they missed the chance to throw hands.

Felix: This is purely selfish. They should be ashamed.

Juno: What if she was really lonely, Felix? Maybe after everything she thought she lost her bestfriend too? People don't take such measures without feeling completely lost.

Felix: I understand your empathy, Juno. But remember, she is Snow. Not Juno.

Juno: The feelings of despair are the same Lix, no matter who it is.

Felix: Juno, it's not the same. There's definitely something wrong here.

Juno: What do you mean?

Felix: It doesnt fit in. (ThAts wHat sHe sAi- sorry)

Juno: i prefer you not being vague at a time like this.

Felix: This whole incident... some things here, they don't make sense.

Juno: Like what?

Felix: I have my doubts. All I'm saying is, I dont trust her. If I know one thing about her then it's that she's selfish as fuck.

Juno: Felix, she tried to commit suicide. What kind of selfish person takes their own life?

Felix stayed silent. It was clear he wasn't going to explain more. Atleast not until he confirmed his doubts to be true. You sighed and decided to give up trying to convince him and handle the situation in front of you instead for now.

As you turned your attention to Chan your heart broke noticing his tear-stained cheeks and bloodshot eyes. You wanted to hug him tightly while assuring him things were going to be alright. A part of you knew you didn't just want to comfort him because of the fact that you were mates and that there was more to your feelings for him, but you also knew better than to go near him when you were covered in and also partially the reason for, his best friend's blood. So you turned to Felix and ushered him to comfort Chan.

Juno: Go to him. He needs you.

Felix immediately obliged and sat on the hospital bench which was previously unnoccupied except for Chan. He put an arm around Chan and unbeknowst to them both, the gentle friendly touch made Chan's tense shoulders let down the weight they had been holding

Soon you were informed that Snow was being moved to a room now as her condition was stable. Everyone exhaled a sigh of relief at the news. Mrs.Bái asked the nurse when her daughter would wake up to which the nurse responded to be patient and that she would wake up soon. Mrs.Bái burst into tears again from the grief and turned to Chan.

Mrs.Bái: Please! Please accept her when she wakes up! I can't see her like this. Broken and so fragile. She has always been so strong. I can't bear to see her laying lifeless like that.

Her sobs filled the silent hallway.

Mrs.Bái: Please Chan... Please... I beg of you... Please save my child...

In her desperation she got on her knees kneeling in front of Chan, begging with clasped hands and broken cries and your heart twisted at the pitiful and painful sight. The action made you jump and almost go near them but Seungmin held you back. Felix and Snow's father tried to console her and make her stop but she pushed them away now pinning Chan with a stern look.

Mrs.Bái: Save my daughter... As a pack member, I demand this of you alpha.

A stunned silence fell upon the narrow hospital corridor as all of you stood there shocked, watching with bated breath, a wide eyed Chan, wondering what would happen now.
