Ch-13 : Comfortable

It was the tall guy who shot you earlier.

Juno: I already did before you said that. Now that you're here you can remove it for me so I can leave.

Yunho: Wolfgang is on their way here. Even if you try to escape you will run into them. And you possibly can't escape a house guarded by wolves everywhere. So, I suggest you rather take rest than spending your energy, which you don't have any, on running away. Your body is really weak. Did you really keep running without stopping?

You kept silent so he asked you again.

Yunho: When did you last eat?

Juno: Last night at dinner.

He sighed again and pulled out his phone to text someone. In a few minutes a maid came with some food which he gave you and turned back to you.

Yunho: The glucose should help you regain your strength but you still need food.

Juno: Why are you being nice to me?

Yunho: My name is Yunho and I'm the nova of Alpha Hongjoong's council. I... attempted to run away once too so I understand how you feel. But Hongjoong brought me back and since then my life changed for the better. That's why I want to help you too. What's your name?

Juno: Juno

Yunho: You look really young Juno.

Juno: I turned 18 yesterday.

Yunho: Yet, you were ready to take four armed men twice your size. Well, I can't blame you. We do stupid things when we're desperate.

Juno: Why did you try run away though?

Yunho: Similar story to yours. I felt I was a hindrance to the pack. 

Juno: You're trying your best to use the most subtle words but I'm not a kid anymore.

Yunho chuckled and a small smile tugged at the corner of your lips which made him happy that you were finally relaxing.

Yunho: Yeah, just like you I felt that people would hate me and that I was responsible for whatever happened. But then Hongjoong came along and made me realize that it was what someone else did and I'm not responsible for the life choices made by amother individual. Even though sometimes you might have the same blood. So, don't blame yourself.

He smiled at you.

Yunho: You might feel like others are caused pain by you but you had your fair share of pain as well. Pain is inevitable, it comes in one or the other way. It's either caused by someone we hate or someone we love and sometimes even by ourselves. But we can surely work on lessening others' pain. That's why I specialized in psychology and also started working as a medic when I came back to the pack because healing others made me feel like I could help them in some way.

You looked down at your lap thinking about the words he said.

Yunho: Eat up! You need energy.

You nodded and started eating your food which was really delicious.

Juno: This is really good.

Yunho: Wooyoung cooks really well. So, what are you doing right now? Are you in training?

Juno: I was training in the CWD at the academy until today. But after this I think they will expel me.

Yunho: I don't think so. Chan is a really understanding person.

Juno: Tch! I hate that guy the most.

He laughed at your angry pout while you were munching on your food.

Yunho: Why do you hate him?

Juno: Because he hates me.

Yunho: Why would he hate you?

Juno: Because... he is not used to people messing around him.

Yunho: Do you feel bad about it?

Juno: Not at all! He can hate me all he wants. I'm going to stay the way I want to.

Yunho: That's the spirit. He will eventually realize that you just have a different personality. Wooyoung is the same. He loves to bully and annoy the members but it's just the way he is. He does give Hongjoong a hard time but it doesn't mean that he is mean or hates us.

Juno: He sounds like someone I would get along with.

Yunho: He is a complete mess once you get to know him.

Juno: What about you?

Yunho: I'm the tallest one.

Juno: Sure, I can tell.

You cracked a smile which made him smile too as he felt better that he was being able to help you to come out of all the dark emotions that clouded your mind.

Juno: I'm scared.

You blurted out.

Yunho: Of what?

Juno: Of going back

Yunho: Are you afraid to go back or are you afraid to face the people waiting for you there?

Juno: It's the same.

Yunho: I think on the contrary they will be waiting to see you safe and sound. Seeing you back they will be relieved.

Juno: How are you so optimistic?

Yunho: I guess I'm the sunshine.

Juno: I'm a dark thunderstorm cloud then.

He chuckled at your remark.

Yunho: It took me time but eventually I started seeing things from a more balanced perspective. You just need time. You'll be just fine.

He said and patted your head.

Meanwhile Chan and the others arrived at the Wonderland pack mainhouse. They greeted Hongjoong and the other members.

Chan: Thanks a lot, Alpha!

Hongjoong: Ayee don't call me that.

Chan: But you are the Alpha.

Hongjoong: It wouldn't have been possible without you for me to take this position at such a young age. Plus, it's our duty to protect our packs.

Chan: How is she?

Hongjoong: She is fine. No injuries but she is really weak. We put her on IV though so, she will be able to regain her strength soon.

Chan: Did she cause a lot of trouble?

Hongjoong: We just had to sedate her because she was ready to square up against an alpha and three other fighters all by herself.

Chan: Sorry, for the trouble.

Hongjoong: It's nothing we haven't seen before. I mean you were there when Yunho did the same.

Chan: Yeah, you're right... Where is she?

Hongjoong: She is in Yunho's room. She must be awake by now since she was out for an hour. Yunho went to check on her a few minutes ago.

Chan told the rest to wait in the livingroom while he went with Hongjoong along with Yoonmin and Seungmin. They entered the room and saw Yunho patting your head as you were smiling back at him.
