Ch-5 : Cat's cradle

Felix: They seemed normal.

Chan: Park Jimin and Park Yoonji.

Seungmin: Most likely to be Yoonmin's parents, Park Yoonmin.

Chan: Min Yoongi and Min Jihoon.

Seungmin: Min? The royal family? I've read about them from the classified documents about the royals. Apparently, they were the best warriors to ever exist but they aren't mentioned in the other history books to keep the royal lineage safe. But no one is interested in the royal lineage anyway nowadays.

Felix: But they are dead. And the royals were long gone. So even if they were royals, they were the last ones remaining and they too died.

Seungmin: Then why did Juno and Yoonmin call them uncle earlier?

Chan: Hyunjin! Run a background check on both of them. Use any and every database you require. I have the permit.

Hyunjin: Already on it!

Hyunjin grabbed his tablet and started working on it while the others looked around. After a while Hyunjin gasped loudly making all heads turned towards him.

Chan: What's wrong? What did you find?

Hyunjin: Not here, let's go to the main house. Anyone can hear us.

They all headed to the new or you could say Chan's main house. After reaching there they settled in the living room and everyone waited for Hyunjin to speak but he couldn't bring words out of his mouth.

Minho: Are you going to speak?

Hyunjin: Yeah, sorry! I'm just a bit shocked.

Chan: Why?

Hyunjin: Okay, let's start with Yoonmin. Park Yoonmin, age 22, parents- Park Jimin and Park Yoonji who died in the pack wars 18 years ago which means he was 4 at that time.

Changbin: What is his relationship with the royals?

Hyunjin: I'm coming to that. His mother Park Yoonji is the sister of Min Yoongi and Min Jihoon who also died during the pack wars which makes them his uncles.

Seungmin: That means...

Hyunjin: Yoonmin is a half-blooded royal.

Chan: But the royals were said to have more strength and abilities compared to other werewolves.

Minho: He might be hiding them to keep his identity a secret. I mean there must be a reason why their identities are kept a secret.

Chan: What does Juno have to do with any of this?

Hyunjin: Apparently the last family of the royal bloods was blessed with quadruplets to keep the lineage going. Sounds silly but it is actually important since their abilities helped to protect the pack.

Jisung: And?

Hyunjin: Have patience! So, the quadruplets were Min Yoongi, Min Yoonji, Min Jihoon and Min Jiyoon. Two boys and two girls. Yoongi and Yoonji were the elders while Jihoon and Jiyoon were the younger ones. Yoongi and Jihoon hadn't found their mates but Yoonji found her mate before the others. Her mate was Park Jimin, the only son of the Park family that ran the business which is taken over by the pack office right now after their death. Park Jimin and Park Yoonji had a baby boy and named him Park Yoonmin who was adopted by Min Jiyoon, his aunt after his parents' and uncles' death.

Felix: And how does Juno fit here?

Hyunjin took a deep breath before speaking.

Hyunjin: Does any of you know her full name?

Felix: We didn't even know her until this morning, let alone her name.

Hyunjin: Okay...

Hyunjin: Her name is Min Juno.

Minho: WTF?

Chan: So, she is also a half blood royal?

Seungmin: But you said the Min brothers hadn't found their mate?

Hyunjin: They hadn't, at least that's what the data says. According to the information here Juno is the daughter of Min Jiyoon.

Changbin: So, Juno is a half blood royal?

Hyunjin: That's what is not specified. We don't know if she is a half blood or a pure blood royal.

Jeongin: What sort of Harry Potter talk is this?

Chan: Who is her father?

Hyunjin: That is the sketchiest thing. It's the biggest loop here. There is no information about her father here. Not even his name. On top of that Juno goes with her mother's surname, Min. If we manage to find this one missing piece of information, we can put all the pieces of this mystery together.

Jisung: So, for starters we know that they are cousins.

Felix: And Yoonmin is a half-blood royal while Juno might be pure-blood or half-blood but she is a royal either way.

Jeongin: How did we get here? I thought we were simply searching for reasons for Chan to reject Juno.

Chan: Are you sure there is no information about her father?

Hyunjin: Nope! I searched everywhere.

Felix: Which means they didn't have information about him from the beginning or... they erased every single information about him.

Jisung: Why would they do that though?

Chan: Because they might not want anyone to know about him.

Felix: Alpha Bang must know about it for sure. It happened during his time so Chan, if you ask him about it, you might get something. And if doesn't disclose the information as a last resort we might have to go through the old papers. If there is no data in the databases there will still be information in papers somewhere. There are no secrets that can be kept forever.

Chan: I'm not sure about asking him. If he comes to know then he will either force me to accept her as my mate because of her lineage or he might harm her. Or he might use her for something that I'm not sure about but I think is very big due to her father's missing information.

Jisung: Why do you not want to accept her though?

Chan: Didn't you see her attitude and the way she talked? You think it would be okay if she behaves this way with the pack members? She's also way too young to take on the responsibilities for the pack. I don't care if she's one of the royals but she is not fit to be the luna. She can still stay in the pack and work in the defense work which will benefit the pack greatly but she can't be the luna. A luna is supposed to be graceful and like a motherly figure. She is the complete opposite. Imagine some kid coming up to her and giving her flowers and she smells them and goes like, "These smell like shit, but thanks!"

The others rolled on the couch while laughing.

Felix: I can totally imagine that happening.

Seungmin: I get what you mean but think of it. Will she be okay with being ordered around by the luna especially when she's the alpha's mate? I mean she doesn't even like you ordering her.

Changbin: She does have this strong and intimidating aura and unlike other wolves who bow down to the alpha no matter what, she doesn't even care about making him mad.

Chan: She doesn't care about getting rejected. You heard her earlier.

Seungmin: Correction, she said she always knew she won't be accepted so she already braced herself for rejection. That doesn't mean she is okay with it.

Jeongin: Why would she think that way though?
