Ch-10 : Decision

Everyone will be happy if you're gone. If it weren't for you, your mom could have moved on and have an actual family with her second chance mate.

If you were gone then Yoonmin wouldn't have to pretend to not hate you. He has a bright life ahead of him anyway now that he is in the council. Chan and the boys would treat him well, you were sure of that.

Speaking of Chan, he wouldn't have to worry about rejecting you or anything. He could just make anyone else the luna who he found suitable for the position which you clearly didn't think you were and neither did he.

Well again, he wasn't wrong. Plus, a warmonger's descendant being the luna of the pack sounded hilarious even to  you. No one would accept you as the luna even if you became one. You had no place where you belonged so it just made sense to find one on your own or keep wandering from place to place for the rest of your life.

You stood up and started making your way towards the pack borders. It wasn't border patrolling time right now which you were thankful for because it just made your work easier. Now the only thing you needed to focus on was the huge wall in front of you with a thin wire fence on top of it which was almost invisible if you didn't know it existed. It was hard for most wolves to see even when they knew it existed. This wire fence had electricity running through it at all times so even if you managed to climb the wall you would get electrocuted by the fence and probably pass out. So, what would you do now?

You turned back but instead of going home you walked towards the main tower where the control panel was. There would be one defense force guard supervising the border since the wall and the fence do most of the work to keep out intruders so it would be easy to lure him out. You pulled out your pocket knife which you kept with you at all times and made a deep cut drawing some blood to lure him. He would surely come out to see if there was a wounded wolf around. Once you saw him following the stronger scent of blood you pressed your wound to stop the bleeding and rushed to the control room and opened the gates. Then you rushed out since the guard would be back anytime soon and realize that the gates are open.

You shifted and made a run for the main gates and heaved a sigh once you were out the pack border. Your cut had healed by now so you didn't have to worry about getting traced by your blood. But now was not the time to relax because once the guard would be back, he would realize someone crossed the gates. You started running into the wilderness not having a clue where you were going. For now, you only had one goal in your head which was to get away from both the wolf pack territories, Wolfgang and Wonderland. You also did not want to run into some wolf from any other pack or any rogue after you cross the buffer zone which separated the territory of these two packs from other packs in the city side of the forest. But first you needed to cross the forest for that.

Meanwhile Chan gathered the council and headed towards the main house.

Felix: What's wrong?

Chan: I don't know but Dad called for us immediately.

Jeongin: Why does it feel like something bad is happening?

Minho: Don't worry. It might be just something that he wants to discuss with us. It doesn't necessarily have to be something bad.

Minho said in hopes to calm the younger one but he couldn't help but feel anxious too. After reaching the main house they hurried in to find the Alpha waiting for them. They all immediately shifted to the meeting room in the house.

Chan: What's wrong, dad?

Alpha: I have a mission for you guys. But this time all of you will have to leave the pack for it.

Chan: Dad, some of them are still in training.

Alpha: And yet they are going to take their place in the council when you become the alpha regardless of their age. So, I want to give you this as your first field mission with them which will be completely led by you as the alpha.

Felix: What is it, Alpha?

Alpha: The gates were opened by someone without the permit.

Changbin: We have an intruder?

Alpha: No, it's the opposite. Someone opened the gates to leave the pack.
