Ch-17 : Choose

You were baffled by his idea. You didn't dare look at anyone except the Alpha.

Alpha: That way you can lead the pack and hold your position at the same time while not being obliged to follow anyone else's orders.

Juno: That's... not fair to Chan. He deserves to be with someone he wants to be with. And I don't want to force myself on anyone.

Alpha: Are you worried about your mates?

Juno: I don't believe in mates. I mean... What if your mate doesn't want you or you dislike your mate? It's just really unfair. Why can't I just work as a normal person in the defense force?

Alpha: Just this morning you decided to run away without caring about any alpha because you are used to doing things your way, aren't you?

You kept silent because you didn't want to agree with him.

Alpha: The look in your eyes is dominating and you have the aura of an alpha wolf naturally. You might manage to work under an alpha but what will happen when a woman as the Luna tries to impose her authority over you? As time passes by, you are bound to grow stronger than any other alpha out there. Do you think you will be able to take orders from a Luna when you are used to doing things your way? Alphas don't like being ordered around.

Juno: I'll try to manage.

He turned to the boys.

Alpha: Tell me about your encounters with her. Starting with Changbin.

Changbin: She wasn't scared of Chan and looked him in the eye while talking to him.

Minho: She wasn't scared to talk back to Chan even when she knew he was the alpha.

Jeongin: No offense to you miss. I felt a little intimidated by her Alpha.

Seungmin: She wasn't afraid to be herself.

Felix: Neither was she apologizing for being the way she was. In fact, she stood her ground and said it clearly that she won't be changing herself.

Alpha: We can already see the traits which are very unique and can be of great use.

Jisung: She didn't care if her mate rejected her and told him that he can accept her the way she is or he can reject her because she is not going to change herself for anyone.

Alpha: That is a very unique trait. Most people would do anything to get accepted. But you didn't tell me you found your mate already?

You glare at Jisung for running his mouth without thinking as he gulped and avoided your gaze.

Juno: I just found out yesterday but it doesn't matter because he is going to reject me. He doesn't like me. I'm not his type.

Even though whatever you said was true it hurt Chan to hear you say all that from your own mouth as if you had already accepted it. But it wasn't your fault either. He can't expect you to cry over him after he said that he doesn't want you.

Alpha: Then what is his type?

Juno: Kind, cheerful, graceful, elegant, soft, gentle, what else? Ahh, someone who doesn't swear and most importantly doesn't talk back.

Alpha: Though there's nothing wrong with his preference he is surely losing a gem like you while he is busy paying attention to who is his "type". Wolves have mates for a reason.

Juno: Wolves can be stupid too.

Some of the boys tried to keep a straight face as they knew who you were exactly talking about.

Alpha: Since we don't have a problem with your mate you should consider becoming the Luna.

Juno: What about Chan's mate? You can't possibly separate him from the person he loves.

Alpha: Chan, do you have someone you want to be with?

Chan: I-

Juno: I'll become the 2nd alpha. I'll work beside him.

You didn't need him to say it again how he did not want you as husband mate. Once was enough.

Alpha: Good choice. Well, now that you have accepted who you are I would like you to select your beta and council members who will work specifically for you.

Juno: Doesn't Chan get to choose first? He is the first alpha.

Alpha: Even though you both might be the alpha at the end of the day your command will be have to obeyed by all, including Chan. Let's not forget that you are the queen even though we might not mention it.

Juno: Fine, but what if they don't want to work with me?

Alpha: Then they are free to leave the council as there will be others who will gladly work for you.

Juno: You're being very blunt right now.

Alpha: What needs to be done has to be done. So, who will be your beta? I would like the betas to step out.

You took a deep breath and stood up. You looked at all of them except Chan. You can't take Felix away from Chan as they are really close to each other and not to mention you have a feeling that Felix hates you too.

Juno: I choose Seungmin as my beta.

Alpha: Choose your gamma. Gammas, please come forward.

Changbin and Minho stepped out. You knew you wouldn't choose Changbin since he was also very close to Chan.

Juno: Minho.

Alpha: Zetas

Hyunjin and Yoonmin stepped forward. You weren't going to take Yoonmin since you didn't want people to say he was where he was because of you.

Juno: Hyunjin

Alpha: And lastly the medics, please step out.

You definitely knew who you wanted as your medic. Jeongin was the same age as you so working with Chan would benefit him more since Chan could guide him while Jisung could help you gain more experience in return.

Juno: Jisung

Alpha: Well, then Chan and the boys will start training you soon and you will be staying here in the main house from now on. Do you have anything else to ask?

Juno: Can we keep my identity as the alpha a secret until I'm required to take my position?

Alpha: I think that will be the best to avoid any trouble for now.

With that everyone bowed to the Alpha and he left. You turned to your mom.

Jiyoon: I'm sorry I never told you. I just wanted to give you a happy life.

Juno: It's okay mom. We can't help certain things. Let's go home.

Chan: Where are you going?

Juno: Home?

Chan: Didn't you hear? You will be staying here from now on.

Juno: I'll move here tomorrow after I get all my stuff from home. For tonight need to go home.

Chan: We can't let you out of our sight for now. Stay the night and we will get your stuff after classes tomorrow.

You turned to your mom.

Juno: Just think of it as if I moved out for college.

Jiyoon: You just turned 18 and you're acting all grown up now. Take care, that's all I can say. Mom is always here for you.
