"Okay. You'll sleep in the bed first and I will kind of sit next to you and doze as I'm leaning against the wall.", Anakin announced as we were both standing in the little sleeping cabin of the ship. And with 'little' I meant tiny. The cabin had a comparably large bed, I had to give it that, but other than that, the remaining space only measured about two square metres.

"No, Anakin, you lay down first.", I protested.

"Do I really need to remind you again of who's the master and who's the padawan here?" He sighed, arms crossed over his broad chest.

"Don't make it about that again! You haven't slept properly in more than two days so you might as well take the first sleeping unit laying in the bed."

"How about no.", he challenged me as he was looking down at me.

"How about yes. Remember this?"  I held up my bandaged wrist for him to see. "I'm pretty sure that you owe me."

It's not like I really wanted Anakin to get to sleep first, I was exhausted and tired, too, but what I was secretly aiming at was this: under all circumstances did I want to avoid falling asleep (if I was even able to), while Anakin could stare down at my face from his sitting position in which he would be towering over me (sort of). The thought alone creeped my out. I hated how Anakin always made me feel inferior to him and I didn't need that to continue in my sleep position wise, with him looking down at me if he wanted to.

Anakin snorted. "You are one sly padawan, do you know that?"

"Thanks, master!", I smiled at him angelically.

"Now you address me as master? I see how it is...", he shook his head although I knew he was secretly amused.

"Looks like I just did, Anakin"

"Don't push it, Y/N. But good, you shall have it your way and sit first. Your loss, I'll sleep like a baby."

Because that is what you are.

"My way, I like that for a change."

"Yeah... don't get used to that, my padawan.", Anakin said while playfully patting me on the shoulder. I immediately pushed his hand off of me. ugh.

"Let's just go to sleep, please, I'm exhausted.", I half whined.

Luckily no more words were needed for Anakin to move towards the bed. First he sat down on it, stretched out his arms in the air, then carefully cracked his neck with his eyes closed, groaning at the stress release and lastly he sort of laid down while I was just standing there. It was kind of awkward, watching him do what I presumed was his pre-sleeping routine.

"You coming or not?", Anakin raised an eyebrow while his head was propped up on his elbow. Why in space was my heart thumping like crazy now?

"C'mon, I'll let you have the cloak. That way you can't snitch on me and tell Obiwan that I let you sit with no blanket while I laid down.", he said.

Me snitching. Of course, you would certainly not give me the cloak of sympathy. What was it earlier again that made you give me your cloak? Me supposedly being a threat because of how occupied my mind was with the coldness? Idiot. I thought but didn't say it out loud.

Instead I just rolled my eyes at him but still gave in and made the step and sat down on the outer rim (🤪) of the luckily spacious enough bed, making sure to have enough distance between his head and my sitting body. Anakin handed me the cloak and then intertwined his fingers over his chest. Then he closed his eyes and sighed in satisfaction. He really mustn't have had any rest in a while.
