I had fallen asleep in a matter of a few minutes with the way Anakin had been stroking my hair and massaging my scalp. The sleep was heavenly. And so, I woke up extremely confused and irritated when two paramedics came on board of our ship and transferred me onto a stretcher, once we had landed in the hangar of the huge medcenter. I insisted on walking myself but they and Anakin wouldn’t let me. And so they pushed me out of the ship on the stretcher and took me by elevator to one of the upper floors of the ring-shaped complex, which was full of injured clones.

The nurses informed me that my head had to be scanned (what a shocker) and for that reason Anakin, who was to have a general health check, and I had to be separated. I hoped that it would only be temporary and that I would get to talk to him later.

The scans of my head were uneventful. I simply had to keep still for some time while the medical device did its work. The only annoying thing was that the painkillers slowly started wearing off and the buzzing of my head grew stronger again. Because I was scared that the pain would reach the intensity it had back in the Queen’s palace, I asked for some more drugs which the nurses gave me without hesitating. As for my sore wrists a special creme was applied that immediately relieved most of the pain.
Lastly, I was brought into another room where I had to take some motor and cognitive tests before the diagnosis followed:

No internal bleeding but a ‘severe concussion’ a doctor announced to me, once the result of the scan had been analysed. It only proved my theory.
I was told that I had to stay in the medcenter for at least five days because they wanted to make sure I wasn’t experiencing any amnesia or other unforeseen side effects later. And I was also recommended to take some time off after my release...
I didn’t know how to feel about that. I had already been stuck inside the temple for long enough last time, when Anakin and I returned from our time on the isolated ship. But I guess I was not the one to make that decision. The council was and they would most likely listen to the medical advice.

After all the details had been discussed with me, I was taken to the top floor, where I was given a quiet room with a hospital bed in it and large windows through which I could look out into the infinity of space. I even had my very own bathroom with a shower AND a bathtub.

“Pretty comfortable

“Pretty comfortable.”, I told the man who explained me everything and showed me the emergency button by the bed.

“Yes. As a jedi you get to stay in what could be described as ‘suites’. The clones don’t have that much privacy. They share their rooms.”, he informed me.

“How is that fair? The clones work just as hard as us jedi.”, I said and felt a little uncomfortable to be treated that much better.

“I know that it looks unfair, but the clones really don’t mind it. In fact, and I’m sure you can judge that even better than I can, comradeship is one of their key values and it makes them prefer to share the rooms with their brothers.”
