Since the incident in the medical ward the other day, I hadn't seen Anakin anywhere- which was kind of a miracle, given that his quarters were right next door to mine. But I wasn't exactly mad about that. In fact, I had to admit that I even kind of structured my days in such a way that they would have as little potential points of contact with Anakin as possible.
So, the last two days were mostly spent by me sitting in the library and studying.
Occasionally, I would go up to the temple's little terrace to clear my thoughts and breathe some fresh air. Yes, Coruscant's air was pretty polluted due to all the traffic, but I still enjoyed to breathe something other than the same artificially filtered air that my lungs had gotten so used to in the course of the last weeks on the two ships I'd been on. And besides the fresh air, I appreciated how quiet this place was and how good of a view it had. So much so that I could even see the area where my favourite little Jazz bar was located and that I had missed especially in past two day. Paying it a visit would definitely distract me from the drama with Anakin... and the way his heart beat suddenly increased, once the nurse mentioned my sprained wrist- something that I had been thinking about a lot and that I couldn't find any answers to.
Other than sitting on the terrace or in the library, I rested in my comfortable bed and went to the dining hall twice a day, making sure not to stick around for too long to avoid Anakin and council members alike. The last thing I wanted for anyone to ask was how the training was going- I don't think anyone knew that Anakin and I hadn't spoken a word in four days let alone train together like we were supposed to.
Still, I was determined to train on my own but on the first day back in the temple I was scared to bump into Anakin in one of the training rooms. It seemed very likely for him to be there because that's where Anakin usually spent most of his time here, especially when he was irritated about something. So I stayed in the library.
And on the second day, when I had decided it was stupid to give up on training and getting stronger just because of moody Anakin, all the rooms were occupied by the younger padawans. So again, I didn't work on my physique.
But that would change as of today.
Not because of fortunate circumstances in room occupancies or me overcoming personal concerns, but because at 6 am someone knocked vigorously on my door. No, I correct, someone banged on my door. Three times. And each knock louder than the previous one.
Suddenly wide awake, I sat up straight in my bed as if I had been struck by lightning. What in the universe?
"Open. Now." A deep voice penetrated the early morning silence once more.
Of course, it was Anakin.
What was he thinking? That he could turn up in such a manner and that I would just welcome him into my room, at 6 am? Wearing my pyjamas? After he had ignored me for four days? He was insane for that.
"Forget it!", I shouted back.
"Open your door, I said!", he banged against it once more.
"No."
There was silence for a moment. But then Anakin went on:
"Meet me in the second training room in ten minutes. For each minute you're late, you will stay an hour longer. You understand me? And don't you dare not to show up. The council will know all about it."
I didn't reply.
Ten minutes, really? It would take me five minutes alone to get to the training room! But I didn't have a choice, did I? Still, he could have given me a notice last evening so that I would have been prepared this morning. But obviously that was all part of his plan: to make things as hard and unpleasant as possible. And so far he was more than successful.
