I waited until everyone was asleep that night before I crept back out of my room. I was still churning with guilt about what I had done to Loki and Pepper, and it wouldn't go away, I couldn't stop myself from thinking about how I had hurt the two people who cared for me the most. I couldn't bear the thought of hurting anyone else, and possibly even killing them.

I walked down the stairs as quietly as possible, gripping my dagger tightly in my hand as my eyes quickly scanned the lounge room to make sure that no one else was down there. I walked over to the kitchen bench and looked down at Steve's phone that was sitting next the fruit bowl, hesitating for a moment. I took in a deep breath and grabbed it, walking over to the couch and leaning the phone against a book to face me as I flicked it onto video mode as I set the dagger down next to me.

"JARVIS?" I whispered softly. "Answer quietly. When Steve wakes up, can you tell him to check his phone?"

"Of course." JARVIS replied, thankfully quiet.

"Go silent." I told him, taking a deep breath.

"Miss Emily-" The AI tried to interrupt, his voice still quiet.

"Go silent JARVIS." I said firmly, and a couple of seconds later, I saw some of the appliances around the kitchen go dark as the AI shut himself off.

I reached towards Steve's phone and hesitantly pressed the video button, leaning back into the couch as I clenched my hands softly in my lap, which was covered by a pair of black tracksuit pants matched with a pale grey top and a sweater.

"Hey Steve." I smiled softly at Steve's phone, wincing slightly at my ugly reflection in the video. "I know you're probably wondering what this is. You might want to assemble everyone else, just so you don't have to repeat this video ten times." I breathed in deeply and looked down at my lap before continuing.

"Before I say anything else, I just want to say thank you, to all of you." I tried my best to keep my voice steady. "Tony, thank you for accepting me into the Avengers and for giving me another shot at life, which is more than I could have ever imagined.

"Pepper, thank you for being like the mother I never had." I tried to block out all of the memories that were threatening to break me. "Thank you for your love, your care and of course for all of the delicious meals. I wish I could give you one last hug."

Tears were threatening to spill out of my eyes now, but I held them back, not wanting to appear weak, even though it was a video.

"Steve, thank you for always being someone I could always lean on." I continued to speak, fidgeting with my fingers. "I can't believe I am saying this but thank you for the training. Thank you for always being supportive and a shoulder to cry on when I needed it."

"Bruce. Thank you so much for the bracelets, and you too Tony, even though I burnt through them multiple times, I'm sure they cost a lot of money to make. You probably should have thought twice about that, I wasn't really worth it." I smiled weakly and looked down at my clenched hands.

"Wanda, thank you for being someone I could always talk to." I blinked back tears again. "Thank you for helping me learn to control my powers as well, though I'm sure there would have been much better ways to spend your time.

"Clint, I know we weren't always on the best terms, but thank you for putting up with me." I took in a shaky breath. "Thank you for letting us spend that time with your family, all because of me. You shouldn't have put them in danger like that, but I'm glad you trusted me enough. Can you tell Laura and Lila and Cooper that I will miss them."
