Everyone began to settle down after the present opening, enjoying all of their new gifts. I retreated to just next to the fire place with the Lego set Pepper had given me, the crackling fire soothing as the fire in my veins soaked up its warmth. I managed to open the box, but I was quickly confused by the instructions.

"You need any help?" A voice spoke from in front of me and I looked up to see Tony standing there. I smiled softly, nodding.

"I've never done anything like this before." I admitted quietly, looking back down at the multiple plastic bags scattered around me.

"I use to build Lego sets all of the time when I was younger." Said Tony. "Trust me, I'm the right person to come to."

He picked up the plastic packed labeled with a big '1' on it and ripped it open, sending pieces flying everywhere. We stared at the mess, looking at each other before we couldn't help but burst out laughing.

We managed to find all of the pieces again and Tony began to explain the instructions to me, which were so basic that I felt really stupid I jumped off the couch to grab the pieces that had fallen off the table, throwing them back up before sitting back down next to Tony. He explained the instructions to me, and I kicked myself for finding them so difficult.

We spent quite a bit of time working on the Lego set and it was actually a lot more fun than I was expecting, except for when I attached the wrong piece and we spelt the next five minutes trying to get it off.

Steve also came and joined us, sitting a little way off so he could open up his Lego set that I had gotten him without mixing up the pieces of the two sets. Tony and I had just opened up the second bag of pieces, a whole lot more carefully, before Lila suddenly yelled out from where she and Cooper were playing with their new presents at the windows.

"It's snowing!" She yelled loud enough that I flinched, my heart immediately jumping at the loud noise before I registered what she said.

I was the first one over to the window, the other Avengers slowly coming over as well. The two kids had their hands and faces pressed against the window, their warm breaths clouding the cold glass as they started at the falling flakes. I had never actually seen snow, only in pictures and movies, but never in real life. I may have at HYDRA, but it was probably in my wiped memories.

"Come on, we've gotta go out!" Lila grabbed my hand, basically bouncing with excitement as she began to tug me towards the door.

"Kids! And Emily" Called out a voice just as we reached the door, causing us to turn back around to see Laura looking at us from the kitchen bench with Clint. "Don't forget your coats, gloves, beanies and boots."

"I've got to go upstairs and get mine." I smiled down at Lila as she began to drag me over to the coat rack.

She nodded, clearly to excited to care, and dropped my hand, letting me walk to my room. I didn't really own any boots apart from my HYDRA ones, so I just pulled them, trying to not let the familiar movement of buckling them up affect me. I grabbed the black woolen gloves and grye beanie that the girls had made me get a couple of weeks ago at shopping before I went back downstairs and grabbed the Asgardian coat Thor had gotten me.

Almost everyone was outside when I actually got down there, apart from Bruce and Laura, who was trying to get Cooper into a thick puffy jacket and beanie while he squirmed in her arms. I darted out the door and found all of the Avengers standing out in the front lawn, staring up at the sky as they watched the snow fall.

Lila was the first to spot me, grabbing my hand and pulling me towards them all as I stared up in amazement at the small flakes. I pulled off one of my gloves and held out my hand, watching as one small flake landed on the palm of my hand.

"It's beautiful." I breathed to no one in particular, mesmerized by the beauty of it all.

"Emily!" Lila's voice dragged me out of my awe and I looked down to see her laying on the ground, moving her arms and legs up and down. "Come make snow angels with me!"

I broke out into a smile at how weird she looked on the ground, but I didn't hesitate to lay down beside her, moving just like she was until we sat up and admired the pattern we had made on the ground, which sort of seemed like the snow angel shape we were aiming for.

I think it was Thor who threw the first snow ball, aiming for Loki who was leaning against the side of the compound with his arms folded as he watched me and Lila make more snow angels. All I had heard was a growl as I lay on the ground, and I had sat up quickly just in time to see Loki form a snow ball with his magic and throw it back at Thor. Only, it missed as Thor ducked and hit Clint straight in the back of his head.

Then it was on.
