Prologue

Soul's POV

"Z, come on. You need to leave this condo unit of yours. It's not safe here." I said to Niks while hugging her from her waist.

I'm worried about her. Kanina ko pa ito gustong sabihin sa kanya. This place is no longer safe for her..

"Baby, I've been living here for almost 7 years now, at wala pa namang nangyayaring kung ano sa'kin." She said while slightly laughing. "I'll be safe here, okay? Lalo pa't nandito ka." She added and hugged me even tighter.

I'm still worried. All because of me, because of the situation that she isn't aware of.

"Hindi ganoon kahigpit ang security rito." I said firmly. That's the truth that's why I'm worried about her safety. And what if someone breaks in while she's sleeping or whatsoever. What if he comes here..

"Soul, look at me nga." She cupped my face and stare directly at my eyes. "I'm fine here. You don't need to worry about me, I can defend myself." Her assurance sounded so sweet.

I heaved a deep sigh. I held her arms tightly. "I bought a house for us and I named it after you." I said. That was suppose to be a surprise for her but I can no longer keep it. Gusto kong pumayag na s'ya agad.

Her eyes widen in shock. Siguro'y hindi n'ya inaasahan ang sinabi ko. Pinag-isipan ko naman 'yon nang mabuti. It will benefit the both of us.

"What?" Hindi makapaniwalang tanong n'ya.

"I said I bought-" she cuts me off.

"Yes, I know but what? Why? Sayang yung pera, baby! You should've named it after you 'cause it's your money." Wika nito in an annoyed tone.

"Aren't you happy?" I asked in a low voice. Her expression softened.

"I am happy. But I just can't believe it. Pwede pa namang palitan yung pangalan no'n right? And I can still stay here, dadalaw nalang ako sa'yo ro'n." Nakangiting wika niya while caressing my cheeks.

My lips becomes pouty. "I want you to live there with me." Pagpapa-awa ko. I'm sure my charms will work on her. It always does.

"Pag-iisipan ko." She said while pretending to think. Nakataas pa ang isang kilay nito habang nagkukunwaring nag-iisip.

I closed the gap between and snakes my arms around her neck. Nilapit ko pa ang mukha ko sa kanya. I gave her light kisses all over her face while her eyes were closed. She's enjoying my light kisses.

"Z, let's live together on that house.." I softly mumbles while showering her with my kisses. "Please na?" Pa-cute ko pa. My palm is massaging the back of her neck up to her head.

"Baby, look. I'll agree to live on that house with you, in one condition." She seriously said so I listened attentively. "Papalitan ko lahat ng nagastos mo ro'n."

My forehead creased. Napabitaw rin ako sa kanya and just stare at her. Agad namang lumambot ang ekspresyon n'ya sa naging reaction ko.

"Just accept it, will you?" Masungit na tanong ko. She always declines all my offer. She's making me feel na ayaw niyang ma-spoil ko s'ya. That's one of my ways on making her feel how special she is.

"Kalahati?" Masuyong tanong pa niya.

I rolled my eyes and sighed deeply. "Fine." Sagot ko. A smile immediately appeared on her face.

"Bakit kasi binilhan ng bahay? Dati ka bang sugar mommy, baby?" Pang-aasar nito sa'kin.

"I just wanna surprise you, 'kay?" I sarcastically said. She just laughed and embraced me.
