Chapter 28: Blackmailed

Soul's POV

"Tao? Hello? Are you okay there, Miss?" Someone said from outside the cubicle.

I felt the fear in my chest. They are here again? What's their problem? I can't believe this stupid people!

I thought she's one of those people who keeps on bullying me but I was wrong. She's not one of them. But she looked.. arrogant.

She even threatened me, stupid.

She's wearing a civilian outfit. Can't even wear her own uniform? Tss.

But I don't know, I still told her my name even if it's not my thing. And I even asked her name too.

"Call me Z." She winked. That was cringed. "Gotta go, Soul. See you when I see you!" She said joyfully before leaving me alone in the comfort room. 

That was our first encounter. Who would've thought na masusundan pa 'yon?

She saw me again at the library while crying. She thought me how to fight. She made me feel the satisfaction of defending myself from stupid bullies.

"Make your request, Z. I'll give it as a sign of thank you." I said with hint of happiness in my voice.

"Anything?"

"Yup," I answered smiling.

"How about a kiss.." she said then looked away. I was stunned for a bit.

"Pardon?" I said, still can't believe of what she requested.

She then dodge it.

I thought of something. Will this work? How would I know if I won't try?

"Z, I bet you can't close your eyes while pouting." Hamon ko sa kanya.

"I think that's easy." She said innocently. Hindi n'ya ba narealize kung anong gusto kong gawin n'ya? So naive.

"Do it." Hamon ko ulit.

And she really did it. I can't believe how gullible she is.

She looks stupid while eyes are closed and pouting.

I rolled my eyes. Slowly, I leaned closer to her. Her eyes were still closed and waiting for what I'm about to do.

My lips touched her. It was just a smack but I felt it all over my system. It sent me different type of emotions I can't name. Kilig? I don't know.

"Thank you, Z. You made my birthday memorable." I mumbles softly.

That was the time I realized I already fell for her. I like her deeper more than anything else.

She's 17 years old? What the heck? I flirted with a minor? I can't believe her. Why she didn't tell me?

"Your application was accepted." My mom handed ma an envelop. What is she talking about? I don't remember anything.

"What application, mom?" I asked while opening the brown envelop. A University in California? I don't remember sending an application to the said university.

"You'll learn better there, Soulistine. Isa pa, you'll handling the business once you finished college." I looked at my mom. She smiled at me, like what she did was a huge favor for me.

"Mom, I don't wanna leave Ravenwood." I said calmly. I can't leave my school..

"We just want what's best for you, sweetheart." She said and held my hand.

I faked a smile. She's my mom. I can't disappoint her. I was born to be her perfect daughter. Hindi ko kayang sumuway.

"What brought you here, my lady?" Thomas asked while handing me a glass of red wine. I love wines dahil madali lang akong malasing so I settle for drink with less alcohol content.
