Chapter 22

  I grunted as I pushed myself off the ground. "Stupid tree branch," I said as I let out a few cuss words and kicked the branch that was in front me. "Ow, ow! Bad idea" Why did I kick with the same leg I'm injured in? Well at least I'm in not dead, my injuries could've been worse. And you knows what hurts my ego; if he had wanted to kill me, he could've. This crazy ninja wasn't even using half of his actual power: who was he?

Now I have to find my lovely teammates, and hopefully they are alive and not so injured. I can't help but worry about Sakura 'protecting' those two; I need to get to them as fast as possible. As I limped my way to trying to find them, my body automatically tensed up: someone was near me. I looked up the trees, when I saw him standing on the branch, glaring down at me. 

Isn't that Gaara of the Sand? I decided to speak first since I didn't want him staring at me like I owed him some money. "What do I owe the pleasure of seeing you especially right now," I put emphasis on the last part. I hope he didn't want to fight to right now. "You!"

"Yes, me what?" I asked. This boy is so weird but he looked so cute, he reminded me of lemur or a panda. But he kinds of give off the vibe like he is not mentally stable, but who am I to judge someone? 

"I want to kill you."

"I want to kill you because you look strong and for some reason mother doesn't want me to... I want to find out the reason why." 

I stood there not saying anything, what do you say when someone says they want to kill you. 'Thank you for being in your interest of manslaughter' or 'I want to kill you too.' I guess I was right with me thinking he wasn't right in the mind. So if I heard correctly he wants to kill me because apparently 'I'm strong' and his mother not letting me kill him? He sounded surprise like that's a first with his mother not letting him kill somebody. That means his mother let him kill people, shouldn't she be in jail? Is his mother in the chunin exam right now too?

"Well, I'm lost for words, I mean it's not everyday someone walks up to you saying they want to kill you with some odd reasoning behind it.  And I'm sorry to say this but can we take a rain check, we can figure this out after the chunin exam, preferring never being honest."  I gave him a fake smile.

He stared at me for a while before he looked like he zoned out and I took that as an opportunity to start walking. As I was about to leave the clearing we were in, when I heard, "Your teammates went the opposite direction." I turned around to see him disappearing in a swirl of sand. I decided to follow what he told me, he probably looked like a murder but he didn't look like a liar.

I've been walking for 10 minutes how and it was already dark, my head was pounding, and legs were growing weak. I scanned the area and saw a cave, finally something in my favor. 
I walked in the cave and noticed there was a bunch of rock, a perfect place to hide. Let's just hope there isn't any mysterious dangerous animals here with me. I laid down between two big rocks and pulled out a small towel I had in my pocket and put it under my head. 

I checked to see if the scroll was still here and it was. I hope my friends are safe was the last thing I thought before I drifted off to sleep.

Kiaya stood in front of the academy looking up at the sky watching the clouds move, Shikamaru is right cloud watching is nice. "If it isn't Kaiya-obasan," she heard a voice filled with mockery behind her.  She turned around to see the two boys who were  laughing at her earlier on today.
