"You brat!" Tsunade slammed her fist on the desk, cracks appearing and a huge dent left where her hand was. "You know you caused me more paperwork and I was planning to leaver early today."
"Look, Tsuna, it wasn't my fault. I couldn't help myself." I tried defending myself. I quite calculated wrong when I said Tsunade wouldn't be mad I didn't send a message of me doing more than I was told to do. "Think about the dying children!"
"Shut your mouth before I punch you out this building!" A tick mark appeared on her forehead. "Don't go acting reckless like your sensei, anything could've happened you just got lucky it went according to plan."
"Could've but it didn't," I reasoned.
She let out a loud sigh, "I give you, your first B-rank mission and you go doing more than your told to with my authorization. Do that again and you're going back to C-ranks."
"I'm sorry," I apologized.
Tsunade's gaze shifted to the scrolls, and a nod of approval followed. "But good work, Kaiya. I knew I you could do it. Now take a seat; I want a detailed report and your written report."
As I began recounting the events of the mission, the door to the Hokage's office slid open, revealing Naruto, Kakashi, and Sakura. Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement, and Kakashi maintained his usual calm demeanor.
"Kaiya! You're back!" Naruto exclaimed, a broad grin on his face.
I smiled in return, glad to see familiar faces. "Yeah, just got back. The mission went well."
Kakashi, leaning casually against the doorframe, spoke in his usual nonchalant manner. "Good to have you back in one piece, Kaiya. Any trouble on the mission?"
I shook my head. "Nothing we couldn't handle. We exposed a traitor in the Kali Village and brought back the stolen scrolls."
Naru's curiosity sparked. "A traitor? That sounds cool. Tell us more!" Sakura scolded shaking her head. "Naruto, she's right there you don't have to be so loud,"
As I continued detailing the events of the mission, Tsunade listened attentively, occasionally interjecting with questions. Naruto's eyes widened at the mention of the traitors, and Kakashi nodded in understanding.
Once the report was complete, Tsunade leaned back in her chair. "Well done, Kaiya. You handled the situation admirably, even though a heads up would've better. I'll make sure the Kali Village is informed of our gratitude."
Naruto slapped me on the back with a huge grin. "That's our Kaiya! Always getting the job done."
Kakashi offered a subtle nod, his visible eye crinkling in what seemed like a proud expression. "Impressive work, Kaiya. I knew you had it in you."
"So when am I going to get my own solo mission, Ba-chan?" Naruto questioned excitedly.
"I'll give you a solo mission when you stop being so loud and calling me Ba-chan!" Tsunade , answered paying no mind to Naruto who complained. "Don't worry, Naruto. I'm sure it's going to be soon." I comforted him.
Naruto's eyes gleamed with excitement, and he slapped me on the back again. "Alright, Kaiya! You deserve a celebration. How about we head to Ichiraku Ramen?"
A grin spread across my face. "That sounds perfect, Naruto. I could use a good bowl of ramen after the mission."
Kakashi, who had his porn book out, chimed in, "Ramen does sound like a fitting way to cap off a successful mission. I'm in, and since it's your celebration you can pay."
"That makes no sense," I deadpanned.
Naruto punched the air with enthusiasm. "Great! Let's go, team!" He motioned for us to follow as he led the way out of the Hokage's office.
