Lost Legacy- Naruto Fanfic

Chapter 10

 "This kinda boring," I sighed putting my hands under my chin as I watched the workers work. "Right there's nothing to do," Sakura agreed next to me putting her hands up yawning.

"Are you guys always this lazy?" Tazuna asked walking by carrying something. My eye twitched when he said, this damn old man. "Where's that weird blonde kid and the one with the attitude? Was training to hard for you two?" He mocked.

"Since you want to jump to conclusions, no we're not lazy. We just finish our training before Naruto and Sasuke." I replied back rolling my eyes.

"And as a matter of fact we're the best. That's why Kakashi-sensei send us to guard you."  Sakura boasted.

"Your  joking right?" Tazuna asked not believe us. 

"What? You think we're lying. I could beat up everyone here including you and then we can see who's lying?" I asked smirking.

"You little-," Tazuna was caught off when a worker came to him to talk. We watched as the man told Tazuna he quit with helping with the bridge because he feared for his safety. I felt bad for him because it looked like everyday someone would quit on him and he was trying to help his village out. Even though he said the most annoying things sometimes he was just trying to help.

On our way back to the house we stopped to pick up some things for dinner. I looked around the streets, it looked terrible, not even the worse part of Konoha looked like that. The walls looed like they were on the verge of breaking, children who looked like they haven't eaten were on the streets, and the things they were selling looked wilted.

We walked in a store and I frowned. There were barely things in the store for them to sell. I could count how many things were in store. 

I looked to see a man approaching Sakura  and looked at her bag. Before I could say anything Sakura already kicked the man knocking two teeth out. At least she had good instincts. "You pervert!"

"Uhh... Sakura I don't think he was going for you but for your bag." I told her as we got what he needed.

We continued to walk back to the house while Tazuna explained to us how things in the village was and it was all Gato's fault.

"You again?" Sakura yelled by me and I turned to see what the fuss was about it. I looked to see two boys. "Please?" Both of them held out their hands with a smile. I squealed inside they were so cute!

"Umm... here." Sakura pulled out some candy and handed to one of them. The other one looked at me with pleading eyes. I went to my bag and got an extra sandwich I made and gave it to him. "Don't forget to share with each other." I smiled and gave them the change that was in my bag.

"Thank you!" The both said and ran off.

"That's how its been ever since, children suffer." Tazuna said frowning. No child should go through this, it almost made me cry when I thought how much kids like here suffer. This made me want to finish the mission even faster.

We all were sitting down eating our food normally except for Sasuke and Naruto who were having a competition. They were eating like they haven't eaten in weeks. "I want some more please!" They both shouted at the same standing.

"Don't eat so much if you're going to puke!" An angry Sakura yelled. This team is so weird. 

"Why are you guys eating so much anyway?" I asked looking between them. To be honest I expected that from Naruto not Sasuke too.

"I have to eat," Sasuke started. 

"I have to eat more than him. It's the only way I'll be strong enough to beat him." Naruto continued.
