Lost Legacy- Naruto Fanfic

Chapter 18

"It wasn't that hard to admit that Shika," I grinned at the boy standing in front of me. Looking to the right I saw Choji standing eating his chips as always. "Choji," I walked to him smiling.

"Hi Kaiya," He replied after eating the rest that was in his mouth. Choji was one of those friends that would listen to whatever you complaining about and wouldn't have a problem. He was an amazing a friend.

"How you've been? Shikamaru haven't cause you any problems, has he?" I asked with him shaking his head. "You should be asking me that, I've gone broke to how many times we went out to eat barbeque because of him." Shikamaru complained.                                                               "That's you just paying him for being such an amazing friend to you and you've got more money, nanodayo."

We talked about what missions we had while Sakura and Ino argued like usual before Team 8 came. "Well, what do you know it looks like the whole gang's here." I rolled my eyes at Kiba's voice. Its not that I hated him, I just found him and cringy side notes annoying. But Akamaru is so cute.

"Oh, hi Naruto," Hinata said greeting Naruto acting like he was the only there. I couldn't help but shake my head this girl was too shy for her own good. And Shino was standing there like usual, I think I've had a conversation with him like three times during the past six years.

"Man, everyone's here for this stupid thing." Shikamaru stated.

"Yep, all ten rookies are here, this is going to be fun."  Along with that weird team and psychotic panda and his minions. "At least for those good enough to make the cut." Kiba continued probably talking about himself with not making the cut. Wait that's a bad thing to say, I don't want karma. "Right Sasuke?"

"Careful Kiba, don't get overconfident." Sasuke replied and Naruto joined. Boys and their pride.

"Hey, you guys!" We all turned around to see who that voice came from. It was a boy with glasses had light blue hair. "You guys might want to keep it down a bit. No offense, but you're ten rookies right? Cool it down a bit, this isn't a field trip." 

"Well who asked you! Who are you?" Ino asked loudly.

"I'm Kabuto. Look around you guys made an impression." All of us looked around and saw the ninjas around us looked like they wanted to kill us. But who cares, I  was going to beat all of them.

I stayed silent and watched them talk to this Kabuto guy. Honestly, I didn't like him for some reason, he seemed fishy. I looked at them take his advice even though he failed seven times and something told me he didn't failed because he didn't have the skills. He took out these card he had and gave information about the person when he was given a name. Does no body find that weird he has information on random people.

"And how should we know the information you giving us is real?" I asked walking to the front.

"Someone looks like they don't believe me, why don't we try you. Kaiya right?"

"How do you know that? I never gave you my name." I said. He froze for a second and ignored and continued with his cards.

"Kaiya Tsuroki, Mission experience; 12 D ranks, 1 C rank. Team leader Kakashi Hatake along Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno. Ninjutsu 4/5, Taijutsu 3/5, Genjutsu 0/5." I felt anger building up in me when he saying out my information. Who knew who was listening to him.

"Guess he wasn't lying Kaiya-chan!" Naruto shook my shoulder with my eye twitching. I calmed myself down before speaking.

"So what if he wasn't lying, isn't that confidential information that some random ninja from who knows where should know?" I asked raising my eyebrow. All of them stood silent probable thinking what I just said.

"Man who cares! We going to beat everyone here anyways!" Naruto shouted breaking the silence. Great now we were everyone's target.

"He didn't mean that, he didn't take his medication." Sakura said trying to make the situation better.

I look to see some ninja moving around the room fast and he finally aimed at Kabuto. He dodged that Sound ninja attack  dodge and only broke his glasses but soon after he fell on his knees and started choking. 

"Not much of a tough guy after all, maybe that's why this his seventh try." The ninja commented and I almost snickered.

"All right, you baby face degenerates!" A loud voice spoke. Turning around it was that big scary looking guy that I saw a few times in the Hokage's office.

"It's time to begin. I'm Ibiki Marino, your proctor. And from this moment your worst enemy." He gave a sadistic smile. Oh God, what his this name got in store for us.

That was terrible, well not terrible. The first part of the chunin exams was a written test, which my team pass along with the others. There was 10 questions in total, nine on paper and the other one he'll ask after we finished the others. It was quite entertaining watching other people cheat. Like Gaara with his eyeball and surprisingly no one saw an eye ball in the air and Sasuke cheating with reflection, and Ino tried getting in my mind but I quickly kicked her out. Saw Hinata gave Naruto the chance to cheat of him but he declined, Hinata is too sweet!

Honestly the questions were stupid, what did algebra have to do with being a ninja? After I finished answering all of the nine questions I was nervous about the last question. I told myself if I didn't know the answer I'll just copy off Shikamaru who was sitting by me. He was the smartest in the room after all.

When the tenth question came we were given a choice; it was either stay and if you get the question wrong you won't be able to take the chunin exams ever again or quit while you can and take the test again next year. When we heard this a lot of the people from early left and to me it looked like they couldn't take some pressure. 

I was going to stay there in that room and If I got the question wrong, I was still going to be strong, so strong they'll have to make me a jonin, nanodayo.

But in the end all of us who didn't leave before stayed in the room after Naruto made this amazing speech, I almost cried. Not really, but it was inspiring. With us staying in the room waiting for the tenth question we all passed the test. The first test was actually testing out how strong we were mentally.

And now I'm standing in front of this forest that looked like once you went inside of it, you never came out at least not normal.
