Chapter 23

"Sasuke-kun you finally awake!" I could hear the excitement in Sakura's voice die down further in her statement. I looked to see what would made her react that way and peered at Sasuke. I was shock for a moment when I saw the way he looked; it looked like he was possessed by a demon and was just living to cause destruction.

"What the-" He had purple chakra swirling around, red marking on one side of his body glowing, and Sharingan glowing as bright as the markings. 

"Sakura," Sasuke observed his surrounding before continuing, "Who did this to you, who is it?" He asked with venom.

"Uhh.. Sasuke you got a little something on whole left side of your body," I stated noticing the marking now had turned black. He stared at his arm examining confused before coming to a realization, "I'm alright its just the power flowing through me, in fact I've never felt better. That guy gave me a gift, he made me realize what I am; an avenger... In this path I need power even if it means being consumed by evil."

Just when I thought Sasuke's mindset couldn't get any worse this happened. Was this all planned by that Kusagakure ninja, did he know Sasuke was already like that and planned to make him worse? He talked and moved like he knew everything about us and knew things we ourselves didn't know. 

They said they were after me too so that means they were after Sasuke probably no most likely sent by that freaky snake. They looked like a bunch of idiots who couldn't think by themselves and needed someone behind them to tell them how and where to move. I sweatdropped where I was standing, why does out team attract such creepy people?

"Now tell me who did this to you? Sasuke asked again looking like he was ready to kill any one he deemed to. Being honest I was uncomfortable of how he was right now.

Just as stupid as I thought he was spiked hair answered with full confidence, "Me!" He grinned. I watch Team 10 retrieve to the bushes while Sasuke glared at spiked hair probably thinking about which way to kill him. 

I made eye contact with Shikamaru mouthing a thank you before focusing Sasuke. "You might've taken Dosu away but that was because he was weak!" Spiked hair pointed at me. "Zin, don't worry we just have to defeat this one, and we can see what that girl is all about!" That girl is me, isn't it? I sweatdropped.

"S-stop Zaku," Zin said scared. So that's his name. "You don't understand!"

"Just watch this, I'll care take of all of them!" Zaku gloated. "Super Sonic Slicing Wave!" I quickly moved as a fast huge burst of wind came out of his hand going straight to Sasuke. I would've been worried for him if he didn't have chakra leaking out of him because 'it was power flowing through him.'

"Ha! He must've have been blown to pieces!" Zaku exclaimed but I knew it was wrong because I could Sasuke's chakra behind him. "Not quite." Sasuke said as he hacked him making Zaku crash into Zin. 

"Fire style: Phoenix Flower Jutsu!" Sasuke did a jutsu that looked like the marking came of him as burning flowers. When did he learn learn this jutsu?

"Don't push your luck!.. Try this!" Zaku countered his attack with another wind jutsu, what surprised me was that in the fire he had his shurikens inside of it. Guess the power made him a little bit more smarter.

"Zaku get down!" Zin warned him but it was too late Sasuke was way too fast, he had already topple Zaku grabbing his arms behind his back.

"Seems like you are proud of your arms," Sasuke imputed as he pushed down his foot on Zaku's back and pulled on his arms. "You must be very attached to them." He pulled on harder and harder as Zaku begged him stop but he continued with a smile on his face.
