After a quick breakfast at a small shop, I ventured back into the heart of the village, to continue my investigation. The sun hung overhead, casting a warm glow on the bustling streets. I needed to gather information secretly, so I decided to blend in with the village guards.

Walking with purpose, I approached a group of guards stationed near the village clinic. Their eyes briefly flickered over me, registering my presence but quickly going back to their conversations.

I cleared my throat, trying to sound casual. "Morning, gentlemen. Anything unusual happening around here lately?"

One of the guards, a buff man with a serious expression, eyed me cautiously. "Why do you ask, miss?"

"Just curious," I replied, attempting a nonchalant smile. "I'm new in town, you know. Thought I'd get to know what's going on."

The guards exchanged glances, and the burly one finally spoke. "Well, there have been some strange occurrences, but nothing too out of the ordinary. Just keep an eye out, you know?"

I nodded, feigning innocence. "Of course. Thanks for the heads up."

I continued my stroll through the village, subtly approaching different groups of peoples and engaging in casual conversation. I asked about recent events, any disturbances, or if they noticed anything suspicious. The guards, seemingly at ease, shared bits of information, though nothing substantial.

As I walked through the village, the bustling atmosphere seemed to shift. In the midst of the busy streets, a commotion caught my attention. A merchant, laden with goods, was being yelled by an angry guard. Their voices rose above the usual hum of the village, drawing curious glances from others.

I subtly approached, my senses on high alert. The merchant, visibly nervous, tried to plead his case, but the guard was having none of it. Something felt off – a tension in the air that hinted at more than a simple disagreement.

The guard's frustration rose, and with a harsh gesture, he dragged the merchant into a dark alley. Instinctively, I followed, keeping to the shadows as they disappeared behind a creaking door of an old building.

I approached cautiously, my footsteps light against the cobblestone path. Peering through the door, I glimpsed a dimly lit room with crates stacked haphazardly. The guard was intimidating the merchant, saying something I couldn't quite make out.

I pressed my ear to the door, listening intently. Their conversation revealed fragments of information – talks of secret dealings, hushed exchanges, and a mention of the village's inner workings. It seemed I had stumbled upon more than a simple merchant dispute. But soon after the voices faded.

Looks like I finally found something. Carefully removing myself from the door, I made a quick decision. Activating my Keinsigan, I focused my chakra and phased through the wall of the old building, entering a small concealed space.

Inside, I could see fragments of the conversation between the guard and the distressed merchant. The air in the room was tense, charged with an ominous energy. I strained to gather every bit of information, silently moving around the perimeter of the room, my eyes acting as windows through the walls.

The merchant seemed to be under duress, and the guard, though wearing the village's emblem, displayed a level of aggression that raised suspicion. Snippets of their conversation hinted at what the head village was talking about.

Feeling the weight of the information I had gathered, I decided to venture further. My Keinsigan allowed me to move through the walls, exploring the building's interior. I discreetly maneuvered through the dark corridors, catching glimpses of hidden rooms and mysterious symbols etched on the walls.
