Somewhere in Konoha
Kakashi Hatake sat at a corner table, a cup of sake in hand. His eye scanned the bystanders, though his mind were somewhere else.
The Jonin exam was progressing, and Kakashi couldn't help but worry for Kaiya. Just as Kakashi took another sip, the door swung open, and two familiar figures entered. Genma Shiranui and Asuma Sarutobi, both Jonin, made their way toward Kakashi's table with teasing smiles.
"Kakashi, my man!" Genma greeted, slapping Kakashi on the back. "What brings you to this fine establishment?"
Kakashi sighed, taking a moment to glance at the untouched dishes on his table. "Just needed a change of scenery," he replied.
Asuma smirked, leaning against the table. "He's lying, he's worried about his little prodigy in Jonin exam."
Kakashi grunted, but Genma wasn't one to let the opportunity for teasing pass by.
"Come on, Kakashi," Genma said, a playful glint in his eye. "You're acting like a dad waiting for his daughter to come home from a date. What's the deal?"
Kakashi's eye narrowed, but before he could respond, Asuma cut in with a smirk. "Actually, Genma, he kind of is a dad."
Both Genma and Kakashi turned to Asuma. Kakashi's eye widened ever as Asuma continued, "Yeah, Kaiya lives with him. He's practically her guardian."
Genma let out a low whistle, eyeing Kakashi with newfound interest. "Well, well, Hatake. Didn't think you had it in you to be a responsible adult."
Kakashi sighed, taking another sip of sake. "It's not like that. She just needed a place to stay, and my house happened to have an extra room."
Asuma chuckled. "Sure, Kakashi. Whatever you say."
Genma slapped Kakashi on the back again, a grin on his face. "Well, then, hurry up and drink Hatake. The last part is about to come up!"
Kakashi sighed once again before taking his last swallow and standing up. "Sakura, Naruto. If you want to come stop hiding behind the bush."

Kaiya's Point of View
The deeper I got into the cave the darker it got so I activated my Keinsigan. However, before I could fully use it, a sudden force pushed against me, catching me off guard. The force sent me stumbling, and as I tried to regain my balance, I felt another sharp shove, and the next thing I knew, the ground vanished beneath me.
The sensation of the fall flood my senses, and panic set in as I realized I was plunging into icy waters. The shock of the cold water surrounded me, and I instinctively kicked upward, trying to the surface. The cave seemed to swallow me whole as I struggled against the weight of the water.
With each passing second, the darkness pressed in on me, and my lungs burned for air. Panic threatened to overwhelm rational thought as I fought against the drowning abyss. Time seemed to stretch, the seconds feeling like an eternity.
The water pressed against me, and it was hard to breathe. I couldn't see much in the darkness, even though I had my Keinsigan on. Maybe it was because of fright but it felt like my Keinsigan was useless. The memories from my past started coming back, haunting me.
I felt like something was pulling me down, deeper into the water. In my mind, the face of a ninja I had killed before appeared, as if he was there with me, trying to drag me under. It scared me. I couldn't catch my breath, and the cave seemed to close in on me.
