Chapter 28

"Are you going to answer?" He questioned annoyed. I still didn't say anything because my body was trembling and I was standing there looking stupid. "H-hello...um I-" I couldn't even form a sentence because he was so intimidating.

He looked at least 60 ft tall, had white-and-goldish fur, and had the body of a tiger. It claws and teeth looked ready to tear me in pieces, but what was the weirdest thing about this summoning animal was that it had wings like of a bird. Could he actually fly? I didn't know this type of animal existed, I thought it was some random animal they thought of and was made into a stuffed animal. Because I've had that since I was five and it looked exactly like him but silver.

My soul almost left my body when I stared at its eyes and it was glaring at me. Back in the academy, they said a summoning animal couldn't eat/kill its summoner. But from the looks of it, I don't think it applies for this one. It looked one second away from eating me alive.

"You look stupid, why are you shivering?" It asked lowering its head. "What!?" I was a bit shock this animal just insulted me!

"You look pathetic, surely you couldn't be the one who summoned me" He scoffed out shaking his head. It felt like an arrow had gone straight through my heart after he said that. "For your information, I was the one who summoned you! However, if I knew you were so rude I wouldn't have!" I said angrily.

"Who you calling rude, you brat! Just so you know I-I -I" He stopped and I got scared. Did he stop because he didn't feel like arguing and was going to swallow me whole. And why did my parents have such a dangerous animal in their position?!

I watched its facial expressions and saw it scrunched up just before tears were coming down his face. HE WAS CRYING! Was it because I called him rude because I didn't mean it. I didn't know summoning animals were sensitive.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it when I called you mean, I was joking," I said trying to comfort him even though before it looked like it was going to eat me.

"It's not you, its just that I'm so happy to know that you are alive. I thought you had died because I wasn't summoned for over 12 years; the last time I was summoned was when I was helping your parents defend Konoha. I was trying to keep up this front, but I couldn't anymore."

Guess he's tsundere, or he's a pretty good actor. But this was good, because he could tell me about my parents and so much more! I looked at him as he use his shoulders to wipe the tears that was dripping from its chin. It's crazy how anyone in Konoha haven't come here to see where this giant animal came from.

"I'm so happy I could..." He said and ended his sentence with a loud growl that almost knocked down the trees in the area. Never mine that thought, someone was surely going to come here, if not a crowd.

"You've just attracted so many unnecessary people," I slapped my hand on forehead. "Sorry." He said. "My name is Ryo, I am one of summoning animals for Tsuroki Clan." My clan has their own specific summoning animals, how cool!

"I'm happy to see you've grown into such a young beautiful lady, Kiaya." He smiled as he used his paw to pet my head. It actually felt nice, I could see why animals love this. But the mood quickly changed when the Hokage and Kakashi appeared. "You!" Ryo glared at them and hid me behind his legs.

"Ryo-san," Kakashi said surprised. "Kaiya step away from him," the Hokage commanded but I stayed in the same spot. "She doesn't have to do anything she doesn't want to do." Ryo responded. "It's for your own good Kaiya, step away from him." He repeated.

"No!" I said firmly as I stepped out behind him. "And how is keeping me in the dark about myself is any good for me?"

"It was probably your fault that it took so long for us to meet. And I'm guessing this wasn't part of your plan either." Ryo added on.
