Each time they didn't kiss, the more they talked and the closer they grew once again made these moments much more difficult to experience. It was as if he was unlocking this dormant being inside Rae whose only thought and feeling was lust.

Not wanting to stop herself, she now gripped his wrists to tilt her face up higher. It was obvious she was going in for the kiss and he effortlessly pulled her in for the tightest embrace she'd ever felt in her life.

Samuel held her as if she'd fall apart when he let her go.

Turning his head slightly so his lips brushed her ear, she closed her eyes in response and pulled his shirt to get him closer. Knowing he was able to do the same things she unknowingly did to him was dangerous.

The small chuckle sending shivers down her spine and making the hairs on her neck stand up, "we haven't went on our date yet sunshine." Restraining the even louder noise that wanted to come from her she just chuckled lowly in response, "how could I forget?"

The rhetorical question making him laugh before regretfully creating space between them.

Unable to handle this torture of not fully knowing what was going on, David appeared in the doorway with Dahlia still trying to stop him. Samuel's focus off of Rae and on David before slowly taking a step back. The frown on Rae's face too obvious before she followed his gaze to behind her.

"I'm hungry," David pouted, "can we just get something quick?"

"It's up to you guys," Rae reminded them and she still wanted to show her gratitude in any form. Deciding that this would be the best way. David clapped before pointing towards Dahlia and Samuel, hoping they were on the same page. David ignored the fact that both of them were staring at him about something else he had done because he was too focused on wanting to eat.

Ray softly laughed before excusing herself to find her wallet. As she looked in the living room, it gave Dahlia the opportunity to shove David into the room where Samuel still stood. "You're ridiculous," Dahlia whisper yelled at him, "like I don't even know you, but why would you do that?"

David shrugged before looking over to Samuel who just shook his head, accepting this fate, "this isn't the first or the last time he'll do it."

All Dahlia could do was shake her head before Rae appeared in the doorway and held up her wallet, "found it. You guys ready?" They all headed outside and packed back into the U-Haul deciding to just take it take it back along the way. Rae was upset that they all insisted on just stopping at a fast food place, as she really wanted to treat them.

Placing their order for their food before they sat down together in the corner booth, having to wait for all of it. "But thank you guys so much again. It really means a lot to me that you helped," Rae tried looking into all of their eyes one by one, just making sure they knew she was very thankful. They all respectfully acknowledged her words and mumbled in response, so she wouldn't worry about it.

David sat next to Dahlia across from Samuel and Rae. Samuel and David sat on the end on their sides so when their food was ready, they both got up to go grab it.

The moment they got up, Dahlia reached over to touch Rae's hand to get her attention, "did you guys finally kiss?" Her voice low but her excitement just as obvious as Rae's reaction. She immediately got flustered before shaking her head no vigorously.

Groaning loudly, she tilted her head back and rubbed her eyebrows. Her reaction making Rae laugh before looking down, trying not to think about the moment her and Samuel shared before coming or else she would blush even harder the entire time.

Before anything else could be said, Dahlia closed her mouth as they both sat back in their original seat and started handing out the different food items. The air around their dinner was light and happy. Rae genuinely enjoyed spending time with all of them. She was happy that Dahlia was becoming such a really good friend, and was able to fit in with Samuel and David. She was the most happy about rekindling whatever her and Samuel had. The possibilities felt endless and for once in her adult life, she was truly happy.

Smiling to herself at her thoughts, gave her the opportunity to look up and see that Dahlia and David already finished their food. Samuel, equally as suspicious as both of them started stretching and dramatically emphasizing that they were tired and ready to go.

"Oh. Let me just finish up and we can all head out together," Rae added, as Dahlia was crazily shaking her hand at her. "It's been a long day for everyone, don't you worry about a thing. Take your time I'll head out with David." Dahlia added as she failed to hide her plotting smile. David waved to both of them before starting to leave. Samuel couldn't help but chuckle and offer David a nod before going back to eating. Rae was fully turned in the booth watching them leave as someone already called the Uber.

This late at night, the inside dining area was about to close, as now only Rae and Samuel sat inside.

"They definitely planned that," Samuel's voice broke her disbelief and she couldn't help but smile in response to the sound of his laughter.

Not knowing what to talk about or what to say, Rae just kept eating her her fries. Feeling  him staring, mid bite, she turned to face him.

"Why didn't you get a burger or nuggets?"

"I'm still vegetarian," she smiled.

He definitely did not expect to hear her say that, "good for you," he nodded in approval knowing it's been years, "so why did you let us pick this place if you couldn't really eat anything?"

Rae shrugged, knowing she was happy to just let it go. Being this close to him in the booth, and now remembering they were somewhat alone, she could feel her body temperature rising. She's pretty sure the more she hung out with him, the higher her blood pressure would be. "Do you want the rest of my fries?" He offered her, knowing that if he only ate fries, he would still be hungry.

Rae slowly shook her head no, but never taking her eyes off him as he started cleaning up his area to put the trash back on the tray.

"Are you sure the fries were enough? If you want-"

"It's night time, we ate food together... alone." Slowly elongating the words as her eyes drifted to the things she described. First they went towards the window to look outside, then down at the food on the table, and finally landing back on Samuel. Using one of his hands, he reached up to rub his chin. The smile he wore on full display.

"I hope you're not trying to call this a date."

Now more nervous, Samuel relaxed more into the booth to seem cool. She watched as his broad shoulders turned to fully face her so that no one could see her in the booth if they were trying to. One of is his arms resting on the backside and the other tapping on the table.

"When we're done, are you gonna offer to take me home?"

Samuel nodded.

"Hmmm, this sounds like a date to me," Rae responded, a somewhat devious smile playing on her lips. All he could manage to do was watch as she broke their eye contact and began looking at his lips. Unable to help the laugh that escaped, his eyes naturally closed.

Rae couldn't pass up the opportunity...

As he opened his eyes, his heart rate spiked noticing she was closer than before.
