"Ok, well, I'll see you in a few hours?" Jed said to me after I told him my address.

"That would be great, I'll see you then." I said with a little wave as we split ways.

Now I can finally go home for the day. After many hours of travel and meeting new people, I was exhausted. Deep down, I was frustrated with this job already. It seemed to be a lot of work, considering I haven't even seen my own house yet but it would be worth it. Being able to live alone and start a new life with a decent paycheck I exactly what I need.

I hopped in my car and drove off to finally get some much needed rest. Directions were on my phone and spoke out loud while I followed them.

Eventually, it lead me right up to a new home. It's not the largest house imaginable but it is the best thing I could comfortably afford. If I were to get a huge house, I would need an extra job or something else to pay it off.

I parked my car in the driveway and turned it off. My house keys were attached to my car keys, so all I needed were those. I figured I should unlock the door and look around the house before I got my bags. It would help to get a nice layout in mind.

Before coming here, I did see pictures of the house but seeing a house in person is very different. Even the outside of the house looked different. Not by much but proportions are always off in photos.

I used my key to unlock the front door and was met with a quiet but peaceful place. The first room was the living room and already had an old couch in it. The owners left behind a few things so luckily I wouldn't need to do too much furniture shopping.

My tired body drove me to go to the couch and lay down on it. I know better, I know for a fact that after this long day I will fall asleep on that couch. So I stayed away and went to grab my bags instead.

The heavy lifting wasn't heavy at all but after a long day, my body was done with everything. Even small bags with important things became tough to lift with my drained body. No energy equals no working.

After getting everything in from the car, I made sure I locked up and could safely take a nap. Paranoia filled my mind the second I collapsed on the couch. The Ghostface is sneaky and if they really wanted to, they could get me right now. The only thing that kept me calm was the thought that Ghostface stalks the victims before their death. Not a very relaxing thought but at least I would not die tonight. Unless the Ghostface stalked me prior to moving here. Just stop thinking about it and sleep.

Once my mind stopped spinning in circles, it went dark and sleep overcame me. It felt good. Finally, a night where I could rest on my own with nothing to worry about. This rest was much needed after the exhausting day.

A small tapping sound made me wake up. Maybe my paranoia was too strong. A small sound like this should not wake me. But it did.

My body sat up in a jolt on the old but comfortable couch. Maybe I was thinking about the Ghostface too much. My heart started to race for no reason when a knock at the door started.

I shouldn't be worried. It was most likely Jed. He was going to come here after all.

"Ugh, chill out." I whispered to myself as I pushed my still tired body off of the couch and onto the wooden floor. The wood was cold against my feet but now was not the time to fix that.

"Hey Jed..." I opened the door with a yawn but was not met with my new coworker.

Instead, it was a new face that I already knew. The Ghostface stood in front of me with all their glory. A white screaming mask stared back at my shocked face.

A scream left my lips as a knife plunged into my stomach. Pain burst throughout my body as I stepped away from the killer. My hand gripped onto my new wound as the Ghostface made their way into my home. The front door shut behind the tall and intimidating figure, making my chance at survival go down.

"Y/N, was it?" The deep voice spoke behind the mask as their grip tightened on the knife. The voice was male just like the police reports said but the slight glitch in the tone made it obvious the Ghostface used a voice changer. This was not the time to think about it. I need to live now.

My legs sprung into action as if I wasn't stabbed at all. I got up and turned to run just to be tripped back down to the ground. 'Stalk you first' my ass. Ghostface wanted me dead now.

My face met the cold floor, instantly giving me a headache. A knee pushed itself into my back, making me stay on the ground.

A puddle of my own blood leaked in front of me. The reflection showed the Ghostface mask hovering right above my head. A knife was lifted in the reflection, just for it to dissappear right into my back. More pain struck as the knife sliced my heart. It was over. End of the story.

I woke up screaming and covered in sweat. Fucking nightmare. It is such a basic thing everyone experiences and yet they still ruin things.

My heart stopped. Maybe the nightmare was accurate when I heard a knocking coming from my front door.
