"Y/N?" You heard Sister Imperator's voice like an echo inside your head

"Y/N wake up dear" You slowly open your eyes, blinking out the light. The pounding in your head was clear. You felt several hands lift you to your feet, supporting your body as your knees buckled, "Sister can we please move this conversation to their room, they're clearly not well" a voice who you could barely make out to be Sunshine asked, "Please, this had to be a lot to take in so suddenly" Cumulus now spoke, "Very well, hurry." Sister responded.

Some more mumbling ensued until you heard a low, but deep voice say, "I'll carry them, just go ahead of me" It was Mountain. You felt your legs get sweeped up, causing a moan at the new change of position, then you felt lightheaded, and went unconscious.

(POV SWITCH: MOUNTAIN)

I pick up Y/N bridal style, they moan then go limp again, "Sunshine, do you think they'll survive?" Cumulus whispered behind me, I turned, "Of course they will survive. Don't even think they won't" My grip instinctively tightens around their body, "Now come on, we have to get them up before six and it is already four" We all walk into the hallway, ghouls and siblings of sin stare, I don't mind. Besides, they all need to get a move on for tonight's ritual. We get to Y/N's room and I gently lay them down on top of their bed, "You guys can go, I'll take care of them" I say to the ghoulettes, they nod and shut the door behind them.

Now, I have no idea how to take care of someone who passed out due to shock. Sodo and Swiss get pretty drunk during our parties, so maybe the same thing I do for them would work here? I hope they're okay with this. I crawl into the bed, putting my legs around them and pulling their back to lay on my chest. They're so cute. I take their hands in mine and use the Earth Ghoul calming ability shit I have to try and maybe relax them to wake up. I just think about all the fun we have at parties, us reading in the gardens not saying anything for hours just to talk all night about the books we finished, us pranking Aether and blaming it on Sodo just for fun, me teaching them how to play drums, and all of the other small things that have brought me happiness when I'm with them, I start to smile. They start to groan and shift.

(POV SWITCH)

You stir "Hey Y/N, come on, wake up" You feel strong hands gently squeeze yours, "Y/N? Are you awake now?" the voice asked again, you try to open your eyes, but they feel too heavy. You start to come out of the unconscious state in a panic. Your heart starts racing, Mountain can feel your body begin to shake, "Hey, hey it's okay, you're okay" He tried to comfort, moving his hands to be wrapped around your waist, his thumbs gently stroking your sides. You feel hands holding you down, you snap your eyes open and start to try and push away. Mountain keeps you tight to his chest, now trying everything to keep you calm, "Y/N it's me, it's Mountain, you're safe it's okay" he kept repeating himself hoping you would hear. You feel a sudden calm, like a tidal wave washed over you, "Good (boy/girl/person) Y/N" Now knowing that it was in fact Mountain, you lean into his chest more, "I'm sorry Mounty." You whimper, your head still pounding, "It's okay Y/N. I would have reacted the same way" You sit up, you remember what happened right before everything turned black.

Sister Imperator explained to you that since you were Catholic before coming to the Church of Emeritus, you have to be baptized and tried. You told her that you never did believe in God and that your parents forced you into it and that you were only baptized, but she wouldn't let up. She said you would have to not burn in the water, get branded, then Satan himself would deem you worthy or not, if you were not worthy, you would be damned to the deepest pits of Hell. You start to cry and shake all over again recalling the sudden conversation, Mountain turned your body so that your head rested on his right shoulder, your legs spread across his lap, "Heey, it's okay. Y/N, you will be fine, you know the ghouls and I would do anything to protect you. We all had to go through this, and we all survived."
