The Final Goodbye (Rain

A/N - I'm sorry. 

You and Rain have been dating for years. When you arrived at the ministry hoping for sanctuary and safety from your overbearing religious parents, Sister and Nihil welcomed you with open arms. You accidentally met the ghouls because you got lost and ended up in the rehearsal room. Rain walked in first and you instantly clicked the moment you made eye contact.

You start to cry remembering all of the fun times you shared. The gash in your side was gushing blood, no one was around. You hoped that someone would have found you laying in the forest, but no one did. An angel stabbed you, but since you are human and not a demon, he left you to bleed out before flying away. You hope that maybe they were there to attack Rain or Papa and you taking the blow saved them, but maybe it was your brain trying to get over the state of shock it was locked in.

You stopped trying to stop the blood, the dirt and mud began to feel warm and comforting. You tried to fight the sudden urge to sleep, but to no avail. Your arms dropped off your side, too weak to keep applying pressure. You try to justify this, maybe it was karma? Maybe bad luck? Maybe a sacrifice? Was it Satan's or God's plan? You stop your brain, "Just go peacefully, Rain will get over it. He'll be happy" You sigh and close your eyes.

Rain's POV

I wonder where Y/n is. I haven't seen them all day. Usually we'd wake up together, but they were gone with no note left. It was unlike them. Maybe they're in the common room, "Hey Aether!" I say, greeting the ghoul taking a nap on the couch. He mumbles something, I don't know what he said but he sits up, "Have you seen y/n?" He yawns and nods his head, "They were going to the woods, probably your spot. They seemed to be on edge." On edge? Did I do something to hurt them? Do they want to break up?, "Thanks Aeth, I'll be back later." I leave the common room quickly. Once I get to the steps leading to the garden, I start sprinting. Y/n loves me and I know they do. They would never just leave, maybe something is wrong?

Third Person POV

Rain ran faster the instant his feet touched the wood's path. He took each turn and hidden pathway with less and less hope. It was cold outside, you never brought a coat. You were not completely confident on the way to the special spot, so maybe you got lost. His brain kept rushing answers and justifications, but once he took the last turn, he saw you.

You were laying on the ground. Your arms are rested at your sides, hands covered in blood. Your head was turned away from him. You weren't moving, "No. No. Y/n?" His voice cracked. He hurriedly ran over to you and held you in his arms, "Y/n, y/n please, please open your eyes, I'll make you better please please."

You hear faint voices and force your eyes open, it was Rain. He was holding you, crying, "Rain," You weekly whisper. His hand caresses your cheek, "Yes, yes y/n it's me, give me a minute I'll call for help, just stay here." He pulls out his phone to text the other ghouls and moves to lay you back down, "No. Rain, this is it. Stay with me."

"Y/n, no, you will live, you will be okay, I'll fix you, I promise, love." He holds you tighter against his chest. You can feel his heart pounding in his chest. You breathe in his scent, focus on his touch, and study the sound of his voice. His presence comforts you, and that was all you needed to die happy, "Rain, I love you so much, if I do dont make it, move o-"

"No. No y/n I'm not leaving you, ever." You smile at his loyalty. That was his most dominant trait, he loves you more than anything,

"Raindrop please, be happy, live life, and tell the ghouls I love them. Always know that I will be with you" You suddenly feel a wave of exhaustion and pain wash over you. You grab onto Rain trying to stop the pain, "I love you so so much Rain" Your eyes roll back, "No. Y/n, y/n no DON'T LEAVE ME" He screams holding onto your tighter than ever before, "STAY AWAKE, PLEASE, PLEASE I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT YOU"

You let out one last gasp, then your body goes limp. Rain screams, his heart wrenching, beating in an unsteady pattern. His throat became hoarse quickly, the tears only adding to his pain. Aether, Swiss, Sodo, and a few medics stopped a few feet back from Rain. They kept hearing his screams and that is how the group found the hidden spot. Rain turned his head, "Please, please help her, I'll do anything for her" The medics quickly surrounded you. Rain wouldn't let you go, he kept holding you. Sodo and Swiss had to pull him off of your body as he kept screaming your name

Sodo and the nurses tried CPR, magic, and other medicines, but nothing would work. Rain stood back watching every move, after about ten minutes they stopped. You were too far gone. The nurses closed your eyes and said a prayer over you. Rain collapsed, cried and broke free of the ghouls holding him back. He pushed Sodo out of the way and held you to him again. Your head rested on his shoulder, he kept begging for you to come back while placing gentle kisses on your forehead, desperately trying to get you back. The nurses, Sodo, Swiss, and Aether all took a step back, circling your body and Rain. Everyone had tears in their eyes as they watched Rain pray, cry, and scream over you.

After an hour, Rain picked your body up bridal style and carried you slowly back to the ministry. Funeral preparations start tomorrow.
