"Baby, I'm home!" Aether shouts with joy and emotion filling his voice. Tears already welled in his eyes at the familiar layout of his home, "Baby?" He asks a little quieter this time, confused as to why you didn't run up to the door and jump onto him in a bone crushing hug. It's been years since he's been home, and you both fantasized about this very moment. He sets down his bags and starts searching the house, smiling at how everything remained the same. The couches sprawled with blankets and decorative pillows, the kitchen window seal decorated with plants, the black and gray rug decorated with his symbol still lays under the coffee table.

Aether makes his way to the bedroom and laughs lightly at the sight in front of him. He sees you hiding under the covers, your face and body completely immersed in the soft sheets. He quietly crawls on the bed in a cat-like manner, and pounces onto you, "I'm home, love! I'm home!" He shouts, hugging the form under the blanket, but lets out a growl of annoyance as he removes the blankets to find pillows, "Okay, that was funny." He laughs out loud, "Where are you, Y/n!" He shouts, moving off of the bed.

You stifle a laugh from inside his closet, desperate to not ruin your plan. Aether slowly, silently crept around the room. He dropped to his knees, "Aha!" He says looking under the bed, only to be met with shadows and emptiness, "UGH! Y/n!" He shouts again causing you to giggle slightly. Aether's ears perked hearing the noise, "Love, I hear you...I know where you are." He teases, standing and moving over to his closet. You quickly make your escape.

Aether flings open the closet door, to find nothing but hangers, left in the exact same spot over the past five years. He turns his head to the right, you slip out of the closet and stand behind him, he still searches the closet, "How did you do that?" he mutters, still searching the closet for you,

"I've learned a few tricks over the past few years." You say as nonchalantly as you can.

Aether stiffens and turns, tears spilling down his cheeks, "Y-Y/n!" He shouts picking you up and spinning you around the room, "I missed you so, so much! I love you! I love you and only you and I don't care if I ever leave this house again! The world was AMAZING! There were so many humans and and so many different types of people and foods and music and culture and religions and clothes!" He kept rambling in between kisses all over your face, "I need to show you everything! I missed you so, so much. Oh and I need to tell you about Sodo and Alpha and Omega and Swiss and oh! Oh! And you'd love the ghoulettes!"

Once he ran out of breath, you grabbed his face and pulled him in for a long, overdue kiss, "I want to hear every detail, I missed you too much." You say, starting to cry yourself, "Oh, no, no don't cry, I'm sorry I made you cry." Aether coos, wiping the tears off of your face. You wrap your arms around his torso and bury your face into his chest, taking in his physical being as much as possible. Five years without physical touch was torture, but at least he was here to stay, "I love you." You mumble into his shirt, trying to stop staining it with tears. His one hand played with your hair as the other stayed on your back, keeping you close to him, "I love you too, Y/n. Thank Satan I'm back."
