The Heavens attacked yet again, but this time there was a grave loss. You hold onto your husband's dead body, sobbing over his blood soaked uniform, "PLEASE PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" You scream, rocking back and forth with his body in your arms, his mask off, revealing his dull eyes and pale gray skin. Your own cuts and bruises felt numb and painless compared to the cries racking through your body.

Rain was the first to run over. He staggered, holding his side and grimacing in pain, "Y/n..." He grunts, kneeling next to you, "Who is it?" He asks, watching as your body shields the face of the body you were holding.

Aether sprints over, blood spattered all over him, none that was his, "Y/n? Rain, what's happening?" He asks, kneeling on the other side of you. Rain was about to respond, but another sob rips from your throat, "PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!" You beg, still hunched over your lover, holding his head to your chest, "I just found them like this." He explains, gently placing a hand on your shoulder. You had other friends in the ministry that weren't ghouls, and the battle wear was for all. Sister, brother, and ghoul alike wore the same uniform.

Mountain limps over, a bloodied bandage from early in the battle wrapped around his knee, "Guys? What's going on?" He tries to walk faster, but only limps harder. He kneels in front of you, "Y/n who is that?" He asks, trying to move your body away from the person in your arms. You slap his hand away and growl, "Come back, please come back." You whimper through sobs.

The ghouls look at each other, confusion filling their gazes. They didn't really know how to handle the situation, usually Sodo or Swiss would be able to calm you down, but they weren't here yet. All three of the ghouls send mental messages to the others, hoping for a speedy savior. Sodo stood at the top of the hill, out of breath, exhausted. He noticed the small group huddled in the valley, desperate for an answer to Rain's panicked mental note. He sprinted down the hill, the anxiety fueling his speed. He pushes Rain aside, moving to hold you in his arms, "It's okay, It's okay Y/n, who ever died did nobally, they're in a better place now." You only sob and wail harder, your tears staining the face of your lover, "HE'S GONE HE'S GONE" You scream, still in shock. Sodo looked at the others, even more confused than before.

"Y/n, you have to show us who it is." Sodo whispers, you only scream back, "HE CAN'T BE GONE!" Your body shakes harder, wheezing. Aether and Sodo keep a reassuring hand on your shoulders. Mountain places his hand on your arm, you don't shoo him away this time. He floods his energy into you, calming you. You take a shaky breath, "He-H-He died saving me...He's dead because of me..." You whimper and sniffle, still holding your husband close to your chest, "Who Y/n?" Mountain asks, you shake your head, fearing that saying his name would only make it more real.

Silence fell over the group once more. Each ghoul begged for Y/n to show who was in their arms, but to no avail. Your screams and cries began to grow in intensity, Mountain's power ran low due to the battle. Rain looked over to Sodo, "Where is Swiss? Maybe he could help." You scream at his name. Aether was the first to realize, "Oh, Satan, no." He whispers, his face paling, eyes growing wide. He pulled your shoulder back, and there he was.

Swiss laid in your lap, head pressed into your chest, blood soaking his uniform. All of the ghouls sat there in shock. You wither out of Aether's grasp and hold Swiss tight against you again, "He's not gone, he's not gone, he's just-he's just sleeping, right?" You cry, starting to laugh hysterically, "No, no he's just playing a prank on us." You start laughing out of control, "Get up, get up you big goof." You shake his shoulders, "See! He moved, he's just messing with us!" You smile, tears still streaming down your face, the ghouls only watched on in horror. You start to sob again, the shock and desperate attempts at deceit only made the situation more real.
