Archbishop Copia Pt. 2

A/N - Simple chapter...simply adorable 

"Copia...It's Rain" You say entering his office, tears streaming down your face. The new Cardinal stands and quickly walks out from behind his desk at the mention of the little ghoul's name, "What happened? Is he okay? Are you okay?" He asks, fear and worry filling his voice. He holds you to his chest, his hands searching for any kind of injury, "I'm okay, he-he fell and hurt his eye. I tried to fix it but I couldn't. He wants you." You ramble out. Copia holds your hand and teleports you both to the nursery.

You quickly open the playroom door. Rain sat on the floor playing with his favorite stuffed animal, a blue bear. Rain looked up, his little eye swollen shut, tear stained face flushed due to his crying. The little water ghoul reached up to Copia, dropping the toy and starting to cry again, "No, no it's okay my little raindrop, it's okay." He comforts picking up the child, Copia feels his little heart pounding, "Did you hurt anything else or just your eye?" He asks the small child in his arms, "N-n-no" The sobbing child stutters. 

Copia turns to look at you, tears pricking your eyes, "Did you do what you normally do?" Copia asks you. You rush to stand beside him, Rain reaching to you, "Yes, everything and more." You say, starting to tear up while the small ghoul still cries in your arms, "Sit down." Copia orders, you do as he says, cradling Rain in your lap as he wraps his hands around himself, "It'll be okay buddy, it'll all be okay." You comfort, he only whimpers and sobs. Copia sits behind you, his hands resting on top of yours, his legs stretched around you, "Okay, let your power flow into mine, I'll fix it." Copia whispers, not wanting to scare Rain.

You nod and close your eyes, picturing the small ghoul's face returning to normal. You picture the dull, aching feeling the bruise would provide if it was your own eye, "There you go, Y/n, good job." Copia praises, starting to add his power into the mix. You feel the end of your power start to waiver, "Copia, Copia it's fading." You whisper, again not trying to scare the calm child in your arms, "I know, I know, it's okay, here, take it" You shiver feeling Copia's magic flow through your veins. You close your eyes, focusing on healing Rain the best you can. Soon his sniffles stop and turn into little snores. Copia stops flowing energy into you.

A wave of nausea washes over you. A dizzy feeling fills your hear while you try to open your eyes, "C-Copia...I-I think...something's" "It's okay, it's okay, you just overused yourself" he comforts, pulling you into his lap, Rain staying in yours. You feel your eyes roll back, you pass out against Copia. He quickly readjusts his grip, now holding you and a sleeping Rain, "I love you both." Copia whispers, looking at his two favorite people in his arms. Rain nuzzles into him more, the bruise once on his eye now completely gone. Copia looked over at you, now sleeping in his arms, your body too weak to stay awake. He leans down and kisses your forehead, "Maybe one day we can have our own family." He whispers, pulling you closer.
