Comfort (Sodo x Rain)

A/n - I love Sodo x Rain....I'll get to more of these tomorrow...be ready for updates...

Sodo stormed into the common room, immediately heating it to an unbearable temperature, "Satan, Sodo what the hell is wrong with you?" Aether groans, moving to take off his jacket, "Where is Rain?" He growls, running around the room, looking under couches, "Sodo, relax." Mountain groans, trying to release calming energy into the room, the heat quickly becoming unbearable, "NO!" Sodo shouts, tearing apart an ottoman. The ghouls stand, hands in the air to show that they didn't mean harm, "Satan, Sodo calm down!" Swiss tries to intervene, placing a hand on Sodo's shoulder, only for it to burn. The fire ghoul growled, his eyes turning into slits, "Where is Rain?" He growed, starting to lose control.

He ran out of the common room, desperately trying to find the water ghoul. He hadn't seen Rain all day and something in his gut told him that Rain was hiding from him. Sodo took a shaky breath to try and compose himself, he knocked on Rain's door several times, but to no response. He gripped the door knob, took a deep breath, and opened the door slowly.

Rain sat up in his bed, putting the book he was reading on the end table, "Sodo?" He asked confused, "Rain, I-" Sodo started to cry, Rain ran over to him, "Sodo are you hurt? Are you okay?" He asks, noticing how Sodo's breaths became more and more erratic. He pulls his boyfriend into his arms, "Sodo, come on, let's lay down." He coos, trying his best to take care of Sodo.

He leads him over to the bed, letting Sodo lay in his lap and cry into the side of his neck. Sodo clings to Rain, desperately trying to find comfort in his lover's arms, but to no avail, "Sodo, can you breathe with me? Like we do when I have my panic attacks." Rain offers, starting to pet Sodo's hair, the weeping fire ghoul nods, "Okay, in for four..." Rain instructs, "Hold it for four...and out for four." His heart breaks as Sodo's shaky breaths try to follow his, "Good, baby, good." Rain praises, "again." They both sit there and breathe for a few more minutes until Sodo moves out of Rain's arms.

Rain reaches for him, but Sodo bats his hand away and wipes the dried tears tat were on his cheeks. Rain tries to comfort him again, but he swats his hand away again, "Baby, what's wrong? Why won't you let me hold you?" Rain asks, "I-I don't know." Sodo whispers, starting to tear up again. Rain doesn't wait for him to ask, he pulls Sodo back against him, "I love you, Sodo. I love you more than anything, there is nothing you can do that will make me feel anything different." Rain comforts, kissing his boyfriend's head every few seconds. Sodo quickly regains his composure and relaxes in Rain's arms, "I-I know, I-" He takes a deep, shaky breath, "I've just felt so, so..." Sodo was not used to expressing his feelings, "weak, like I can't function." He admits. 

Rain's head swirls with concern, how does respond, "I understand." He starts with, "I-I feel like that too." He starts to gently massage Sodo's scalp, causing him to purr, "I'm happy that you told me." He finishes. Sodo snuggles more against Rain, "Thank you, Raindrop." He mumbles, appreciating his boyfriend's attempts at comforting him, "I love you, Firecracker" Sodo growled softly, Rain laughed, "I hate that nickname." Sodo groans, "But it fits." Rain snips back, both ghouls laugh and fall into comfortable, relaxing silence.
