The reckoning has come. Angels versus demons, a battle waging for centuries.

You were in the common room with all of the ghouls, just playing your instruments and practicing, "Hey Swiss" Sodo called, putting his guitar down, "Yeah?" He looked up from his acoustic guitar, "Wanna make a bet?" Sodo only made bets when he was bored and they mainly ended in some sort of damage to the church or Swiss, so this could not be a good idea. Swiss pondered over the question for a while, "Alright. What is it?" He placed the instrument back in its case, "I bet you won't go up to Mountain and tell him he's playing Kaisarion wrong every time then try to correct him." Sodo smirked knowing that although Swiss was a multi ghoul, he wasn't the best at playing drums and Mountain would cry the instant he felt like a failure. Swiss tried to keep a straight face, but he couldn't, "Dude. That's cold." Sodo put his guitar in its case, locked it, and stood up, "Well then. I win. Night guys!" Sodo announced to the room. He was given a mix of 'night' and 'see ya' from the focused ghouls. You stopped playing your bass, "Night Sodo. Do you want someone to walk you back?" You started to put your bass down, "No no it's okay y/n don't worry I'll be fine" He smiled and waved off your kind gesture, "No Sodo I insist." You fully stand and walk beside him.

Since Primo let you know that war with the Angels was on the horizon you've been paranoid. The thought of all your friends dying in battle and the images that came with it gave you nightmares for the past few months. You were not a ghoul, so you had to go through a training process when first being inducted into the church. You learned how to use a knife, shoot a gun, and martial arts. You keep two daggers stored on your thighs. They are thin, gold plated and embellished with your birthstone. They were gifts from Nihil for passing the battle tests in the top of your class. It was an honor to receive, but a burden to carry. Your job at the ministry was security...originally. Until one day when Rain caught you playing his bass in the common room and convinced you to perform for the band. Since then, you've become their personal security and travel with the band. Your training had also promoted you to the front lines of battle. You were to be the first person on the battlefield at the ring of the bells. The church would have monthly drills with the bells to ensure that everyone understood their position for battle.

You and Sodo walked back to his room in mainly comfortable silence, "Y/n?" Sodo asked, stopping in front of his door, "Yes?" You urge him to continue, "Why have you been acting so...protective?" You couldn't tell him the top secret information Primo gave you, so you lied, "I'm up for a promotion, so I have eyes watching me constantly. I need to prove that I'm a good guard" Sodo tilted his head, "I know you are lying but I'm too tired to push, goodnight y/n." And with a quick nod you turned back down the hallway to the common room.

Walking through the halls felt heavy. The air was thicker than normal, the smells of old stone were covered with the overwhelming stench of must. It felt as if the walls had eyes, you could feel the pressure of thousands watching your next move, waiting for your call. The pit in your stomach tightened. You could sense something was off. The grandfather clock read 10:30 pm. Although the hour was late, you knew that Primo would be in his office. You swallowed your pride and your, "I can handle everything" mentality and walked to his door.

There were only a few siblings of sin and ghouls out, You passed them with a nod. You pound three times on the wood, something only you were allowed to do. The door swung open. You quickly stepped in and locked the door. You did a visual scan of the room then looked at Primo with a slight bow, "Y/n? What brings you in at this hour?" He asked placing the paper he was reading down and taking off his reading glasses, "I can't get what you told me out of my head" you walk up to his desk and sit in the adjacent seat to his large golden one, "I just keep feeling like I'm here is going to be a war soon. I feel eyes watching me from above, I feel the tension of the universe in the air, and I've had these terrible nightmares seeing the ghouls dead. I keep seeing me running towards Sunshine as an angel chases after her, she screams my name and reaches for me but I'm too slow and her head gets sliced off. What does any of this mean?" He looked shocked at the information you gave him and right as he opened his mouth to respond, the battle cry rang out.
