Valentine's School Day (Aether)

It was your lunch break. Being a teacher in the ministry for the kits is hard work. They are more than energetic, but sweethearts, and are absolutely adorable. Today is Valentine's Day, Aether, your husband, promised that he would take you out after school, but the day was slow. You were busy grading tests and helping with activities. Each kit made Valentines for the others, we decorated cookies, and made hearts out of paper plates and paint. It was recess for the kits, and your lunch break was done. You only have a few minutes left before the kits come back, so you put your head down.

A knock at the door wakes you up, "Honey, are you in here?" It was Aether, "Yeah," You yawn, "I'm here sorry." He walks in, nothing in his hands, "No, it's okay, I just was worried about you when I saw Sister Maria with the kits at recess." He walked over to you, leaning over your chair and wrapping his arms around your shoulders, gently kissing your cheek. You giggle pat his arm, he backs away. You stand and face him, pulling him into a kiss, "I have a surprise for you, my love." He turns you so that your back is against his chest, his arms around your waist, head resting on your shoulder. Your hands lay on top of his, "Come on in kits!" He says.

Your class files in, each one holding a rose, "Happy Valentine's Day Mrs.Catalyst!" each kit says, a big, rosy smile on their faces. You thank everyone, starting to collect a bouquet in your arms. Once the last kit hands you their rose and sits down. Aether lets you go, "Come on, come on time for Phase two." He says, waiting for the kids to come back to the front of the room.

Two kits grab for your hands, you set the roses on the desk and let them lead you. They stand with you facing the empty classroom, Aether and the others behind you. He shushes all of them. He counts, "3...2...1" and the kits yell, "TURN AROUND MRS. CATALYST!" You listen to their words and slowly turn.

Aether is on one knee, a ring box in his hand. The kits are holding small sighs with letters that spell, "Will you marry me?" Your hands fly to your mouth, tears filling your eyes. Your heart starts beating hard, your shoulders shake with each breath, "Y/n" Aether says, laughing slightly at your reaction, starting to get emotional himself, "You have made me the happiest man ever in the whole world. I love you. These kits and so many more look up to you, even I do. You're so kind, loving, helpful, dedicated, and amazing that I cannot live another day without calling you my wife. Also, I should have married you the instant you said you wanted to use 'Mrs. Catalyst' as your class name." You laugh at that, it's true. You didn't want to use your last name, you used Aether's. The class knew you were not married because you didn't wear a ring while the other teachers do, "What do you say, will you marry me?" He asks, his eyes wide with hope, love, and desperation.

You nod, tears flooding down your cheeks, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" You say jumping slightly. All of the kids cheer as Aether picks you up and spins you around. You kiss him, still being held in his arms. Some of the kits 'awwww' and some go 'ewww'. You laugh and pull away, Aether sets you down. He puts the diamond ring on your finger, it was breathtaking, "How much did this cost?" You ask him, your salaries together were not enough to pay for this, "I've been saving for years babe, don't worry about anything" He assured, moving to hold your hand, "Snack time!" Aether announces, the kits cheer. He helped you the rest of the day with the kits and it was magical. You never knew that you could fall in love more with somebody, but this man made you entranced with his every move, voice, and expression. You love each other, and now you'd be together forever.
