"Rain! I can't accept this!" You say staring at the diamond necklace and matching earrings, "It's the least I could do." He says, smiling like a goof ball, "Rain, this is too much." You say, feeling embarrassed about your gift, "Hey, no it is not. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me and I am going to spoil you." His hands move and cup your face, making you stare into his bright blue eyes, "You never let me spoil you daily, so I had to get it all out today before your birthday." You sigh, "I didn't get you this much stuff." You look over at the pile of gifts that are opened and the other pile that is not. He already got you earrings, necklaces, hair pins, gems, and clothes, "I don't care. You give me you, all of you and that is all I need." He says, starting to get emotional himself. You set down the box of jewels and he pulls you into his chest.
He kisses you passionately, "Stop not accepting my gifts, you know it is my love language." He whispers. You laugh. He moves you so you are sitting between his legs, back to his chest, "Now open another!" He says like a kid on Christmas. You sigh, exhausted at the thought of opening more expensive gifts. You unwrap the purple bow, a black box tied together by it. Lifting the lid, you see a grucifix broach, but the 'G' was made of a blue gemstone. You gasp at it's beauty, "I know you wanted a new one, so I thought you'd like one with my gem in it." Rain explains, pulling you closer to him. You turn your head and kiss him, "It's absolutely perfect and stunning, Rain thank you." You smile, already excited to wear it to work tomorrow. Rain then hands you another package, this one smaller, definitely a ring box,
"I know we said we wanted to take things slow, but I still wanted to get you a ring." He explains, starting to kiss your neck gently. You open the box, revealing two rings. One is a thick, blue band. The other is thinner, but made of the same material, "See, this one's mine." He says taking the bigger ring and slipping it onto his finger, "And this one's for you." He says slipping the other ring onto your hand, he kisses it softly, "Rain, I-I how'd you get my ring size?" You say in awe, "You wear rings every day, Y/n. I'm not too oblivious." you laugh, he laughs too, "I can't believe you knew that." You say, still shocked that the ring was a perfect fit.
He hands you another box, this one was big, had holes in it and was making soft noises, "Rain...what the hell..." You said confused. He only laughs, "Just open it." he says. You quickly remove the lid. A small fluff of black fur with the biggest green eyes looks up at you, it purrs softly, "Oh my Satan, Rain you got us a kitten!" You squeal while holding the small cat against your chest, it immediately purred, "I thought you should name her." He says, starting to pet behind her ears, she purrs louder. A loud boom of thunder cracks outside of the window, "There go my plans for the picnic dinner" Rain sighs. You giggle, "How about Ara. It's Arabic for bringing rain." The cat snuggles into you, Rain pulls you even closer to him, "It's perfect." He kisses your neck.
You stayed cuddled with Rain and Ara for the rest of the night. It was your first Valentine's Day, and now it wouldn't be your last.
