A fallen angel. That is what you are now. Being casted out of the Heavens for a lie someone told about you hurt more than anything. Your inability to defend yourself against the man that accused you of being promiscuous while he was the one trying to seduce you only added fuel to the fire. When the verdict was reached that you would be banished to Earth, you looked God in the eyes and said, "Fuck you." Then fell through the clouds to the earth. You tried to use your white wings but they were decomposing, turning black. You slightly panic seeing the blackened feathers falling down around you, but panic more when you see an old, Victorian church directly in your path. Your eyes grow wide in fear, waiting for impact. You curl yourself into a ball and close your eyes. All goes black.
Rain is just sitting in the garden with Mountain, helping the ghoul with taking care of the greenhouse. He looks up to admire the clear sky, and sees a ball of black falling down, "Uh. Mountain?" He gets the bigger ghoul's attention from the flower he was watering, "Yeah? What is it?" Mountain responds by turning the hose off, "What is that?" He asks, pointing to you. Mountain stares in confusion for a second before he watches you spread your decaying wings trying to fly, "Shit. Go get Aether." Mountain says starting to leave the greenhouse, "Wait what's happening?" Rain says, trying to catch up with Mountain, "Just go get Aether and tell him there is another one. He'll know." Rain, still confused, ran inside the church to find Aether, Mountain started running to the spot in the woods all fallen angels got casted out to.
Mountain runs into the woods and finds the stone path that leads to the pentagram where God outcasted the first Papa's of the Church of Emeritus. Fallen angels were damned to the burnt ground and there had been several this year, most did not survive the fall. Mountain finally makes it to the clearing. He pants heavily while looking at your body laid in the middle of the star. Your chest was rising and falling slowly, very, very slowly. Cuts and bruises decorate the right side of your face that was against the dirt, your knuckles were swollen, bruises scattered your legs, and a deep purple. Even in your disheveled state, Mountain was entranced with your beauty. A feeling washed over him. He felt connected to you. He felt that you had met before, that you had loved him before, and that he still loved you even after centuries passed. You were his soulmate.
He quickly kneeled beside you, gently touching your cheek to see if it would wake you up. Some feathers were on your arms and legs, still decaying. Mountain gently took them off of you and continued to stare at your peaceful face. He was so entranced with your beauty, he didn't notice Aether standing behind him, "What are you doing?" Mountain jumped at the sudden noise, "Satan Aether, you scared me." Mountain stood beside his friend, "Well why are you staring at her like that?" Aether rebutted, crossing his arms, "I-she-um." He starts to blush, "I think she is my soulmate." Aether's eyes grow ride at his friend's words, "Oh shit. Really?" Mountain nods shyly, "Well, okay i-uh." Now it was awkward. Ghouls and fallen angels do tend to get along, but a soulmate bond between the two was rare. Plus, Aether didn't know how Mountain would respond to you being taken care of by staff. Soulmates can get possessive, and Ghouls are already possessive enough, "We have to take them to the church, I already told Sister Elizabeth to get ready." Mountain gently picked you up bridal style and started to quickly walk back to the church.
As Mountain and Aether navigated to the church, you would whimper softly when Mountain's hand grazed a bruise or he had to adjust the way he was holding you. Mountain would use his Earth ghoul ability and send calming energy into you. He didn't want you to be scared when you awoke and he didn't want you to be in pain. Eventually, you all make it to the medical wing, "Bring them back here, hurry." Sister Elizabeth instructs. Mountain follows quickly. There are private rooms in the infirmary for the Papa's and or important clergy members, but since fallen angels can still have the scent of a heavenly creature, it is dangerous if a newer summoned ghoul smells the angel as it will try and kill it. So, an entire separate room is dedicated to the fallen angels that come to the church. Mountain gently lays you down on the bed. He tenderly tucks a piece of hair that was in your face behind your ear. Sister Elizabeth and Aether shared a glance at the action, trying to telepathically tell each other to be very cautious in their movements. Mountain steps back and turns around, "Sorry Sister Elizabeth, but is it okay if I stay with them until they get better?" He didn't know why he felt so compelled to be with you. He could not help you medically, and when you wake up you wouldn't know him, but his heart was yelling at him to stay. Sister Elizabeth gave a small smile, "Of course Mountain, but I do need you to stay against the wall with Aether while I assess and treat, after that you can stay here as long as you'd like." Mountain gave a respectful bow of his head and stood beside Aether on the opposite wall from your bed.
