Arthit POV
Waking up with an alarm was always a struggle for me. I love my sleep, and I love to sleep in. I tried to get later classes, but all first-year students had 8 am classes. Except for one day. Classes didn't start till 10. Ihope today was that day. I reach for my alarm to shut it off only to hit air. After two more attempts I was finally able to shut the alarm off. I rolled onto my back blinking my eyes open a couple time. My eyes are met with vaulted ceilings. I look over to my right and I see floor to ceiling windows with their blinds draw. It takes my very sleepy mind to catch up and realize that I am at Kongpob apartment. I smile to myself as I sit up. Last night was the first night I slept so peacefully. I have nightmares every now and then about what happened that night. Sometimes my friends are in them even though I know they wouldn't hurt me, and other times its just that man. Last night though, I didn't dream it was peacefully. Just as I was sitting up in bed the bedroom door open and Kongpob walked in.
"good morning sleepy head" He said leaning against the doorframe.
"Hi" I said smiling before stretching.
"You should hurry up and get ready, we have to leave in about half an hour, so we can get your car" I nodded to him before standing up.
"There is breakfast, I wasn't sure what you liked, so May made waffles rice and omelets"
"Thank you" I said smiling again. Something see off about him today, he wasn't smiling like he had been last night. Kong turned around leaving closing the door behind him. I quickly got up, grabbing my bag, and got ready for the day.
"The drive back to the bar was quiet and awkward. I didn't know what to say, and Kongpob didn't seem to want to talk. I wanted to ask him what was wrong but felt it wasn't my place. I mean really, we just met yesterday morning. Was it something I said last night? Did I talk in my sleep? Maybe since he had all night to think about it, maybe he didn't want me as his mate. Maybe he was hoping I was a girl? Was he going to reject me? So many thoughts were running through my head. I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice we had pulled up to the bar.
"Arthit we are here" Kong said bring me out of my thoughts. I look around and I see we were back at the bar. My car was still where I parked it untouched. I looked at Kong, but he was just looking ahead. It hurt. I don't know what i actually did, and Kong didn't seem like he was going to tell me anytime soon.
"Thank you...I'll...I'll get going then" He just hmm, nothing more. I got out of the car walking over to mine slowly. The more distance I put between us the more it hurt. I didn't know what I did, so I didn't know how to fix it. As I got into my car, Kong sped off. I laid my head on the wheel trying not to cry. "What have I done?" I whispered to myself. I sat there for ten minutes before I felt I was collective enough to leave.
The whole day I was miserable. Kong wouldn't respond to my message, hell he didn't even read my messaged. I looked around for him at lunch, but the canteen was full of just first-year student. When hazing came around, I debated with myself more than once on if I wanted to go. I knew I had too, or I might be in trouble. Would Kong even realize I was there? I was going to find out.
Sitting with my friends I looked around. The second years didn't act like there was anything wrong. So maybe Kong was just upset with me. I turned to look at Tutah who was sitting on my left. "Hey...I have a question for you" I whisper to him. I didn't want the people around us to know what was going on.
"You know I will answer the best I can." I looked at him not even sure what to ask. I didn't tell my friends that Kong was my mate, though I had a feeling they already knew. They wouldn't have left me alone with him otherwise.
"Nevermind" I said sighing. He tilted his head looking at me concern showing in his eyes.
"You sure Thit?" I just nodded. I really didn't even know what to ask. He wouldn't know why Kong was upset anyways.
