Arthit POV

"Okay...we will talk...we will tell you everything we know." Itsara sat back on the couch his wife next to him. They both looked nervous. Amara, looking around the living area. It was as if she was waiting for someone to come walking in.

"Well hurry up." Kong stats. I can feel how upset he is. "If you don't tell me the truth, or if I don't like what I hear, my uncle will be the least of your worries." I place my hand on his arm gentle.

"Baby calm down, they are scared." I hug his arm to my chest looking up at him. Kong looks at me rage in his eyes, but sighs.

We sit there for a few more minutes before my dad...before Itsara start speaking.

"It was the middle of the night, almost two am. We had been out all day looking for our missing leader and his wife. Niran and Churai had been missing for more than twenty-four hours, and it wasn't like them to not check in. To now check in with Decha Sakda brother. They also had their son with them, and he was missing too."

"Yes, I remember, my parents were worried and had some of our best tracker out looking too" Kong stated, frowning.

"Yea, we were getting help from all branches. When we pulled up to our house. There was a woman standing there. She was holding a little boy. The woman was human but the boys...he wasn't." Amara said looking at me. Was she talking about me?

"Go on" Kong said impatiently.

"She said that we were the keepers. We need to keep this little boy safe; nobody should ever know about him. The boy didn't seem to be anything special. He was small, and asleep. We turned her down. Told her to go away. We never wanted children. We were okay with babysitting, but we didn't want our own. We knew we couldn't be good parents." Amara looked at me again before looking away. I thought I saw guilt on her face.

"So, you turned her away? Without questions?" Kong asked, getting pissed again.

"We tried, but a shifter showed up next to her. He has been hiding in the shadows, and he wasn't alone. There was a witch as well. She held us with magic, telling us we had no chose but to take the young one in. The boy need to be hid and what happen place then two people so low on the scale, that nobody would come looking for him." Itsara said. He sighed before rubbing his face.

"The whole time the boy had been covered up with a blanket, only his bare feet was shown. The witch chocked us with magic, Amara passed out. I had to protect my wife, so I agreed. Against my better judgement I agree." Kong tapped his finger on his thigh as he listened. Itsara stood up started pacing. I didn't know what to make of the story. I don't remember any of this.

"What happen then?" Kong asked, pulling me closer.

"the human brought the boy in and laid him on the cough, which was the first time we saw his face and it shocked me. Here was my leader only son, passed out or asleep on our couch. I told them we had to contact the council. We has to let people know he was alive. That is when I saw the marks on him. His skin was covered with something black. I was confused, why did these people have him? Where were his parents? When I asked these questions, I got beat." Itsara stop pacing and lifted his shirt, there was a long scare going from his breastbone to his side. I gasp. I had never seen that before. He never walked around without a shirt on when I was growing up.

"They did this to you?" Kong seem even angrier looking at the scare. I looking between my adoptive dad and my mate.

"the shifter did yes. He said that we couldn't be trusted to not run our months. They were placing this boy in our car because nobody would look for him here." Amara said as Itsara fixed his shirt.
