Kong POV
Flashback
"This ring belong to my brother." I watch as Arthit face turned pale, as he looked at Decha. Fuck I forgot who Arthit real parents here!
"What do you mean it belongs to uncle?" Ming asked confused. Decha turned to look at Ming holding the ring up.
"You see this ring? This is passed down to the next leader of the werewolves. My father, your grandfather, passed it down to your uncle. After your uncle passed away, I had a new one made, based off a picture."
"I've never seen you ware it before" Ming said, as he looked at the ring. "I have seen uncle ware it though. In some of the pictures you have showed me."
"I didn't feel it was my place to wear it. The title wasn't mine. It was my brothers." Decha scanned Arthit up and down. I wrapped my arms around him pulling him closer to me. The instinct to protect my mate high.
"Then how dose Arthit have it? Arthit is human." Ming asked a look of pure confusion written on his face.
"How do you have this ring?" Decha asked. I could feel Arthit shacking a little, I could tell he was scared.
"It's okay baby just tell them" I whispered in his ear. Arthit looked at me, fear shining in his eyes. I placed a gentle kiss on each of his eyes, before turning his face back to Decha.
"I...I've always had it. My adoptive parents told me they use to belong to my grandparents. Growing up, I had no reason to believe otherwise. It wasn't till they threw me out that they told me the truth. Those rings belonged to my real parents." He said fear in his voice.
"Kong what is he saying?" My father ask. I looked around the room and even the chief was stunned to see the rings. It's no secret that the leader of each entity has a ring that is passed down from heir to heir. My father still has our ring, and one day it will be mine. It's also no secret that Desha refuses to wear the ring he had made.
I remove Arthit from my lap, standing up. "This is what I know." I move slightly blocking Arthit from view. I recounted the nightmare Arthit always has when under stress. The car crash, the fire, the man, the dogs. I also recount what his adopted parents told us almost two months ago. When I was finished there was silence.
"We didn't want to tell anyone, until we knew the truth. Arthit asked if I could look into his parents, at least the one on the birth certificate his adopted parents gave him. I've had Oak looking into them, and as of yet has not been able to find anything." I look around the room as everyone remains silent.
"Arthit and his friends were joking around, making up ways to get Ming DNA to run a test, but Kong had put a stop to it" Aim said, but still, everyone remain silent. I feel a tug on the back of my shirt. I turn to see Arthit looking up at me, worry in his eyes.
I kneel in front of him, rubbing his thighs gentle. "Whats the matter love?" I keep my voice low, almost a whisper. He looks at me, biting his bottom lip. I gentle tug his lip from between his teeth, which does things to me, and now is not the time for that.
"Are they mad at me?" he whispers back.
"Of course, we are not mad at you" Ming says. I turn to see everyone looking at us. "We are just shocked, I guess is the best word for this."
"I want a DNA test." Decha says. "I'm not calling you a lair, but I want to be to sure without a doubt." Decha clears his throat, blinking a few times. "I also want the names of the people that raised you."
