Arthit POV
I look around the room I am currently sitting in. It's been a week since the death of my fake parents. I had been asked to come to the police station for further questions. When I told my uncle and Kong they were admitted that I did not come alone. I didn't fight it. I didn't want to go alone either. Not the way that asshole cop looked and spoke to me. We had all agree upon a time for me to show up, and now here we are. The room was made of cement blocks, with only one window, which had bars on them. I shiver resting my hands on my stomach gentle. I didn't like the feel of this room. It made me feel like I was a criminal.
"Everything okay baby?" Kong asked me rubbing my neck gentle.
"Yes. I just...I don't like the feel of this room." I tell him honestly. I place my head on his shoulder taken a deep breath.
"Well, we shouldn't be in here for to long." My uncle says. "I don't know why they want to question you more anyways. You gave them everything they need already." He shook his head looking at his phone.
"This happens sometimes." My uncle lawyer stats. "they pull the family in for a formal interview, it doesn't mean he is arrested or being detained." I rub my stomach again feeling the fleeter of butterflies. I smile a little looking down. I have been feeling little movements more and more with each passing day. I can't wait for Kong to be able to feel the baby kick.
"Whats with the smile?" Kong whispers in my ear. I take his hand placing it on my stomach lightly.
"I've been feeling the baby move more and more. I can't wait for you to feel it's movement." I whisper back. There was a gentle kiss placed on my temple making me close my eyes. I wish we were anywhere else right now.
"Did you two find out the gender?" My uncle asked. I shook my head pouting.
"No. When we went for the ultrasound, the baby wasn't in the right position." Uncle Desha chuckled.
"I remember your mom pouting because you did the same thing. They didn't know what you were till you were born. Every time they tried to check you would be shy." I laughed at that.
"Well, I'm far from shy now." I say causing everyone to laugh.
"I'm glad to see you all think that murder is a laughing matter." I turn to see Chatri and Thanong walking into the room.
"When you came in, were you informed that this interview would be recorded?" Chatri asked sitting down.
"Yes" I answer truthfully.
"Good. Once I start the recording I'm going to read you, your rights. This does not mean you are under arrest; it is standard protocol." I look at my uncle lawyer who nods his head.
"Okay." I say. Chatri picks up a remote hitting a few buttons before putting it back down.
"You have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be held against you. You have the right to an attorney. Do you understand these rights?" Thanong asked.
"Yes I understand." I said nodding.
"Thank you. Can you state your full and legal name for the record?"
"My name is Arthit Daichapanya." I could see my uncle look at me from the cornor of my eye.
"We have on record your last name of Rojanapt." Chatri said flipping through some paperwork.
"That last name belongs to the people who raised me. They were my legal guardian, but they never adopted me nor changed my last name legally. My name legally is Arthit Daichapanya." I defended.
