Kong POV
I run my fingers through Arthit hair as he sleeps on my lap. My kitten has not been able to sleep throughout the night for the last week, and he is wore down. Our group of friends decided to celebrate the end of mid-term exams by going to our favorite bar. We were still on our first round when Arthit curled on the couch we were sitting on and fell asleep with his head in my lap. I was actually surprise he could sleep with the music being so loud.
It's the same dream every night, the clarity of the dream is always the same, so he can't give any more details then he already has. I am on the verge to ask Lilly to block the memory so he can sleep. I don't know how well my baby will like that, but I can't keep seeing him go without sleep.
"What is wrong with Arthit?" Aim ask nodding his head to my sleeping mate.
"He hasn't been sleeping through the night" I answer taken a swig of my beer.
"How many times have we told you not to ware him out like that Kong" Prae said winking at me. I throw her a glare but say nothing. She throws her hands up, quickly looking away. I don't care if they tease us, but our sex life stays out of it, always. "Sorry" She says sheepish.
"Why can't he sleep?" Tutah ask tilting his head. "It's not the nightmares still, right? they have never lasted this long."
"what do you mean?" I ask looking at him.
"His nightmares normally only last three days, at least that is what he tells us. He has never told us of them lasting almost two weeks."
"We would have known even if he didn't tell us. He would be pale, and bags under his eyes, cranky and falling asleep in class" Knott said. I don't know how I feel about his friends knowing him so well. Right now, though I am glad they do.
"He keeps having the same nightmare. Night after night. It vivid enough to scare him. He remembers enough details, but again not enough to fully know what is going on." I say before sighing. Arthit makes a nose in his sleep, before rolling over facing the back of the couch. I watch him worry written all over my face. I pick up my leather jacket I had thrown on the back of the couch when we got here and place it over his shoulders to keep him warm. I don't think we will stay to much longer; I'd rather he sleep at home.
"Has you told you about the nightmare?" Oak asked picking up his phone. If anyone can find information, it would be him.
"only what he can remember. A fire, a man, his parents and barking dogs. Other than that, he doesn't know what is going on."
"His parents died in a house fire, right?" Oak asked.
"That is what his adopted parents told him, but i don't know. I have this gut feeling they are lying. I really need to find them and talk to them."
"We can give you their address if you want" Bright said. I look at him thinking. I keep forgetting their have known him his whole life.
"send me the address." I say. I gentle lift Arthit head from my lap, before standing up. "Watch him I will be right back" I saw heading to the restroom.
After finishing my business, I walk out of the bathroom, but stay where its quitter. I can see our friends from where I stand. I pull out my phone and dial my dad.
"Hey kiddo whats up?" he answer.
"Hey dad...have you been able to look into Arthit birth parents?" I lean against the wall, watching our group of friends. Somehow, they mess well, and I'm glad. I wouldn't know what to do if they didn't.
"The adoption records were sealed, but I was able to bypass that. Son the name of his parents on his birth certificate are fake. The people they have listed, were real people, which died that same year. There would be no way they are his parents."
