Kong POV

I hold my mate as he sleeps soundly for the first time in days. Since Tul told us what was found out, Arthit has been a wreak. He doesn't understand why Sanun would kill his parents. He doesn't understand what his parents ever did to Sanun. That is something my father and Desha are going to figure out. Tul stated that for now we have to go about our lives as if we don't know the truth. Yet how can we? How could I possible go about my live knowing that I grew up looking up to someone who is a murderer, and for what? Even Desha doesn't understand. According to him, Niran and Churai were friendly with everyone. They were fair when it came to punishment, and stayed out of business that wasn't related to them or werewolves. My father said the same, adding that they would voice their option, like everyone else, but always left it up to those closely involved.

So why then kill them? And in such a horrific way? Why kill Arthit? He was only four at the time. What could that tiny boy possible have done to hurt Sanun? He took a boy away from his parents at such a young age. For what?

"Kong..." Arthit mumbled softly, pulling me out of my thoughts. He curled into me more, nuzzling his face into my side. I tighten my hold on him, kissing his forehead.

"Shh...sleep kitten, I'm here." I whisper softly. The clock on the bedside stand read close to four in the morning, and I had to be up in two hours for work. My father had given me the time off to be with Arthit after the failed obductions, but now I have to go back. I didn't want to leave him alone but had no chose. I couldn't take him with me either. I would be on the productions floor and unable to monitor him. Plus, he didn't feel safe at the office right now.

"Need to pee." He mumbled but made no move to get up.

"Want me to carry you sweetheart?" I asked. He nodded, not even bothering to open his eyes. I chuckle lightly at his childish behavior finding it ever so sweet, and cute.

I climb out of bed before bending down and lifting him up. For being twenty-three weeks pregnant he is still light as a feather. I set him down on the feet in front of the toilet gentle, kissing the side of his neck. "Let me know when you are down love okay?" I move to step away, giving him some privacy, when he grabs my arm pulling me back to him.

"No...stay...don't go away please?" His eyes are open, fear shining bright in them.

"Okay baby I wont go anywhere." I tell him. I close the bathroom door, before leaning against the bathroom sink, waiting.

Arthit did his business quickly then washed his hands. As soon as he was done drying them he was back in my arms, his face in my neck taken a deep breath. "Do you have to go in today?" he asked softly. I ran my hands up and down his back gentle, kissing the top of his head.

"I do love. I'm sorry. If this wasn't something that was required for my fourth year, I'd say fuck it all and stay with you." I tell him truthfully. He cuddles into me more, nuzzling my neck.

"Will you stay safe? How will you get to work? Will you call me when you have time?"

"I will stay as safe as possible kitten. Tul and a team of a security will escort my father and I to work, we will have a car in front and behind us at all time. I will call you every two hours okay kitten?" I feel a small nod against my neck. I pick him up gentle taken him back to our bed. "You need more sleep love." I tell him laying him down. I get into bed with him, pulling him against me. He can only sleep on his side or his back and right now sleeping on his left side is more comfortable for him.

Arthit takes my arm, wrapping it around his wraist, placing my hand on his belly. I feel a gentle nudge making me smile. "She is saying hi." He says softly.
