Chapter 20

Arthit POV

I smile as I stare at my wrist. The wound healed, and in its place a new mark. A matting mark. One put there by my mate, over a week ago.

"You look creepy staring at your wrist. We get it, your mated to Kong, now stop smiling like an idiot and study, we have a test coming up." Knott said tapping the back of my head. I pouted but got back to studying, He is right though. We have an upcoming calculus test, that I need to pass to remain top in the class. I just can't stop thinking about how I got this mark. I smile again as I get back to studying.

Flashback

"Who wants to die first?"

P'Kong, I thought to myself as the three men and two women turn to look behind them. There stood Kong and Ming. Both men looked pissed. I turn to see P'Kit checking on the guy laying on the floor. I guess being a doctor isn't all is cracked up to be. There was blood coming out of his head, but he looked okay otherwise to me.

I turn back my eyes locking with Kong. He did a quick scan of me, his eyes which were already lavender, turned darker. I can only guess he saw my wrist and the blood.

"Kongpob! Ming! Thank everything you are here! We found your mates." One of the women said. "we were just getting them out when you showed up." she finished saying. Does she think either of them are stupid? Does she actually believe they will believe that nonsense?

"yeah?" Kong says not taken his eyes off the blood dripping from my wrist.

"Yes khun, we knew you would be so worried about them."

"Then why take them?" Ming says his eyes glowing a bright amber color. It was the first time I saw his eyes change. I look at the people who were trying to lie there way out of this and they seems more nervous.

"We didn't...I swear, we never would have." Ming grabbed the woman by the throat in a blink of an eye, lifting her off her feet.

"You know what I hate more than people touching my mate? Lairs." Ming says. My body goes tense a I see the three men looking at each other. Before I know it all three attack my mate.

"Kong!" I yell. I don't know what to do. How do I help him? I watch as all three-try punching him at once. Lucky Kong ducks in time and two of them hit each other instead. I feel a tug on the back of my shirt causing me to look away.

"come on Arthit we need to leave now" Kit says. I look at the door trying to figure out how. They are blocking our only way out.

"How?" Just ask I was asking three bodies come flying at us, landing at our feet. Kong and Ming have the doorway clear. I take Kit hand pulling him out of the room and into the hallway. I don't know which way is out.

"go to the left, follow the hall, there is another door. You can't miss it" Ming says, as one of the woman jump on his back trying to bit him. I didn't realize they were vampires! He flings her over his shoulder throwing her to the ground.

"What about you two?" I asked worried. I know I only have human strength right now, but I can't leave them alone.

"Don't worry about us, we got this. Get my Kit out of here now Arthit" he turns giving us his back. I didn't know what to do.

"come on they have this" Kit says pulling my arm to follow. I try and drag my feet, getting him to stop, but he stronger than I am. "Stop! Our mates are stronger than you think, we have to get out of here before more people find us" He says. I take one more look back before I follow him without hesitation.
