Chapter 37

Arthit POV

"Do I have to go" I whined. I crossed my arms over my chest pouting. I didn't want to go to any formal gathering.

"My aunt asked that you come baby, so of course you have to come." Kong says as he starts setting our clothes out. "Kitten I've told you this all week." He said. I pouted more. He brought it up in the hospital to help me focus on something else. He has been reminding me all week.

"I know but I don't feel comfortable being around so many people right now." I say placing my hand on stomach. They did an ultrasound when I was in the hospital. I had been seven weeks and six days. I couldn't believe there was a life growing inside me. I would have my own family soon. I couldn't be any happier right now. Kong arms wrap around me from behind me. Laying his chin on my shoulder. His hands covering mine. I lay back against him, releasing a happy sigh.

"I won't let anything happen to you or our little one." Kong says softly kissing my neck. "You will stay by my side all night. If you go to the restroom, I will be right behind you. If for some reason, we are separated, my father men will be watching us as well." I took a deep breath exhaling slowly. Kong started rocking us back and forth gentle. I know he wouldn't let anything happen to us, no matter what. Everything that has happen in the past wasn't his fault.

"Okay." I turn around in his arms wrapping my arms around his neck "But you owe me."

"Name it baby." Kong says rubbing small circle on my lower back.

"I want KFC afterwards, and ice cream" Kong chuckles before nodding, kissing my head.

"Anything my kitten wants" he said smiling.

We have only been here for half an hour, and I was already annoyed, tried, and bored. I wanted to go back home.

"Arthit! You're here." I turned at the sound of my name, smiling wide when I see my friends.

"What are you three doing here?" I asked as they get closer. Bright had brought Rome with him. I'm glad that Bright it starting to get comfortable bringing his mate around us.

"Why wouldn't we be here?" Knott asked sounding confused.

"You don't know what this formal event is do you?" Prem asked. I shook my head.

"Kong didn't tell me. He just said that his aunt would love for me to here." My eyes go wide as I quickly look around for Kong. I see him ten feet away, talking with his aunt, and father. I relax exhaling slowly.

"Kong really should have told you." Knott said shacking his head. "This formal gathering happens every year. All high-ranking members of each clan along with their oldest children show up. There are human of power here too, like the King, the General of the Thai Royal Police. The leader of the UN, every head of state for every country." My eyes grow wide, my nerves on edge.

"What?" I say flabbergasted.

"Each year its held at different location. Last year it was in the United States, the year before that Canada, then I think it was South Africa before that." Prem says. "You know how all four of us would go on a 'family vacation' at the same time? We were going with our parents." He finishes. I rub my forehead. That is a lot to take in.

"I told Bright I didn't want to come either. I was to scared seeing all these powerful people." Rome spoke up. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought the same thing.

"I told you baby its no big deal" Bright says as he linked their fingers together."

"To you maybe, you grew up like this, Arthit and I did not." Rome says wanking his hand away. Rome had a point. If some crazy ass man didn't kill my parents I would have grew up like this too.
