Chapter Eleven
Mac's POV
I couldn't believe I told Derek that. I guess he should know, I mean. He's the only person who's ever seen me vulnerable.
"Ms. McCall, I would really appreciate it if you paid attention in class." Harris said to me and I rolled my eyes.
"Mr. Harris, I would really appreciate it if you taught something that actually made me want to pay attention." I replied. He narrowed his eyes at me.
"Detention, after school. " He said sternly. I rolled my eyes and stared out the window. I swear I'm in my feelings. After I told Derek that, we sat in a silence. A surprisingly comfortable one too. We just sat there until it got late. He dropped me off at home and I haven't seen him since. My grandmother dropped me off at school today.
"Nice going there." A voice whispered pulling me out of my thoughts. I turned to see Isaac. He was sitting right behind me today, while Erica was on the other side of the room. I put my feet up in the empty seat next to mine, since Danny was in the hospital. Everybody is gone today, which reminded me. My brother, his quirky friend, and his secret girlfriend aren't in class today.
"I stopped caring for school years ago." I replied to him. He chuckled. I was surprised he actually talked to me. The wannabe-Derek's usually stay away from me. "Not to be rude or anything, but why exactly are you talking to me?"
"Well, since your Derek's girlfriend, I thought it would be a good idea to get along." Isaac said.
"Erm, yeah. I'm not his girlfriend." I said uncomfortably. Now that I think about it though, I wouldn't mind it.
"Oh really? He commanded Erica to leave you alone, so I just assumed." He replied. The bell rang and he walked out into the hallway. Well then. I walked out the classroom and started walking to my next class.

At three o'clock, I walked into the library a few minutes before six other people. I internally groaned as Stiles and I locked eyes. I'm so glad he chose not to sit in front of me. He, Stiles, and Erica sat at one table.
"We can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools." Jackson said sitting down. I looked to see Allison and Matt at his table. Matt glared at me from his seat.
"All these tools?" Harris asked him.
"No just us tools." Stiles said motioning to him and Scott. What the hell did these two do?
"Fine you two, over there." Harris said and motioned to the table across from me. I finally liked Harris for a second. I still have yet to talk to Stiles and don't plan on it anytime soon. His chocolate brown eyes make me feel so exposed.
The boys sat down and started whispering to each other, glancing at Allison's table. I took out my phone and started reading on Wattpad. I kept getting distracted because I could feel someone staring at me. When I glanced up, Matt sat there glaring at me, and I just rolled my eyes. I looked down at my phone again and continued to read.
