Chapter Forty Five
Mac's Pov
We slowly climbed off of the bus, exhausted from being pent up in that hunk of junk all day. The motel in front of us was not only old, but it had a creepy feel to it. It reminded me of motels politicians meet prostitutes at in secret. I shared that thought with Isaac who let out a small laugh.
Coach blew that incessant whistle again, "Listen up, the meet's been pushed until tomorrow. This is the closest motel with the most vacancies and the least amount of good judgement when it comes to accepting a bunch of degenerates like yourselves. You'll be pairing up, choose wisely." Oh forget that. I'm not rooming with a random person I don't know.
"I'm rooming with you two. I'll sleep on the chair if I have to." I said looking at Alison and Lydia who just shrugged. I went and grabbed a key from Coach.
"And I'll have no sexual perversion perpetrated by you little deviants. Got that? Keep your dirty little hands to your dirty little selves." Coach yelled. I shook my head at the man and started heading to the room I was gonna be sharing.
"Lydia?" I heard Alison say, I stopped and noticed the two girls not walking.
"I don't like this place." Lydia said looking at the motel. I don't think any of us liked this place.
"I don't think the people who own this place like this place." Alison said with a chuckle.
"I second that." I said.
"It's just for a night." Alison pointed out to her frightened friend.
"A lot can happen in one night." Lydia responded. What the hell? Maybe I should've just roomed with a random person. After convincing Lydia everything would be fine, we went up to our room.
"I'm gonna shower." Alison walked in the bathroom and came back out with a frown on her face. "All the towels smell like cigarettes. Can one of you go get some more?"
"Not it!" I said, "I'm going to go see Isaac."
"You're immature, you know that?" Lydia said.
"I didn't have a childhood because my mom hated me, so I have an excuse." I said giving her a smirk and heading out the room.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd say you and Isaac were dating." Lydia pointed out, following me with the towels in her hand.
"I could say the same about you and Aiden." I said and she gave me a shocked look, "Yeah, you don't hide it as well as you think."
She scoffed and walked off toward the front office. I felt my smirk grow as I headed toward Isaac and Boyd's room. I knocked on the door but no one answered. I stood there for a bit and knocked a few more times. I pulled out my phone and sent a text to Isaac, but he didn't respond. I even called and there was no answer. We made a plan to hang out tonight while we were on the bus. Maybe he fell asleep. I headed back to my room when I noticed Boyd walking zombie like across the parking lot with his room ice bucket.
"Hey Boyd, is Isaac in the room?" I asked from where I stood. He ignored me though. I know he heard me. His ears could definitely pick up my words.
From Lydia:
Come back to the ASAP. Just you.I headed back to the room I shared with Alison and Lydia. I found the two of them and Stiles standing around in a circle.
"What's up?" I asked them confused.
"Was Isaac acting weird to you?" Lydia asked when I walked in the room.
