Chapter One
Mackinzy's POV
I just had to have a psycho mother. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't be back in this horrid town. This town where I could run into the other two people who share this name with me. Now since the last time I've seen either Scott or Melissa was when I was five, they probably wouldn't recognize me. I only know who they are, because my mother drilled it in my head for some reason.
"Miss McCall?" A voice asked. I was sitting in the receptionist office at Beacon Hills High School. I've only been in town a day or two, but my grandparents are making me go to school already. I stood and walked up the the desk, getting my schedule and other things I needed. A man in a nice suit walked up to me and told he would escort me to class. I think he's the vice principal. I arrived in the middle of the day.
The guy dude walked in the classroom first. I peeked my head in and started to back out of the classroom. An old man stood behind me. I bumped into him, my heart stopped quickly. He led me in the classroom. I turned my head, so my hair was a curtain over my face. The old man walked up to the teacher.
"Mr. Harris, I'd like you to meet our new student. Mackinzy, introduce yourself." He old man said. I looked up shyly. I cleared my throat, attempting to gain some of my voice. I can feel him staring at me. I looked up at him, and he looked like he was trying to figure something out. Trying to figure out who I was and where he knew me from. I decided to keep eye contact on him as I introduced myself.
"I'm Mackinzy McCall, and I just moved here from Washington." I said, watching emotions flashing through Scott's eyes. The most dominant one was anger. He clenched his fists and tried taking deep breaths. He closed his eyes and turned to took at a brunette girl, who shot him a look. He soon calmed down after that.
"Find a seat Ms. McCall." Mr. Harris said. I glanced at him and took an empty seat next to this random guy.
"Hi, I'm Danny." He said, sticking his hand. I smiled and turned to him and shook his hand.
"Hi, I'm Mac." I said to him. He explained what we we're doing today. Only stopping slightly when his phone would vibrate with a text. He looked aggravated and kept glaring at a boy sitting across the room.
"Danny, detention. No phones in my class." Mr. Harris said without looking upo from his desk.
"Actually it's mine." I said, shocking Danny and myself. Mr. Harris turned and looked at me. A glare set on his face. I made myself look really apologetic, "I'm sorry Mr. Harris. I forgot to turn it off. I'll turn it off now." I grabbed Danny's phone put his pocket and turned it off.
"Fine, this is a warning. Next time will be a detention." He said with a slightly stern look.
"Yes sir." I said with the most sincerity I could muster. He looked back down at whatever he was doing.
