Chapter Thirty Four
Mac's POV
"Boys!" I heard someone yell. I shot up from my spot on Stiles' bed, covered in papers. "And Mac." Sheriff said looking at us.
"Morning Sheriff." I said with a yawn.
"I got to get to work, you three, get to school." Sheriff S said and turned to walk out the room. Stiles, Scott, and I were up all night researching about the bank and the robbery.
"Dad!" Stiles exclaimed, stopping his father, "Heather?"
"Nothing yet." His dad said sadly and walked away. Stiles and Scott explained the situation to me last night. I was slightly jealous when I was informed she went missing minutes before her and Stiles were to have sex. I had to remind myself that I chose someone else, so I had no right to feel that way.
"Ten hours and nothing." Stiles said frustrated, picking up papers angrily.
"We're gonna find something." Scott said.
"Finding something doesn't make Erica any less dead or Boyd any less about-to-be-dead." Stiles said and I nodded my head agreeing with him.
"Well, we still have time." Scott responded
"Is this whole, like, "remain optimistic "in the face of complete and utter disaster" thing a part of the "be a better Scott McCall" program?" Stiles said with a slight sarcastic tone. I let out a short laugh.
"Uh, not if it doesn't work." Scott said with a slight smile.
"No, it works." Stiles admitted then looked down at the papers in his hand. He stared at one for a quick second then flipped out throwing the paper and Scott and running out the room calling after his dad.
"What is it?" I asked and Scott handed me the paper.
"Stiles' dad arrested the robbers." Scott said as I read the headline. Finally something we can use.
"So was that jealousy I smelt coming from you last night when you found out about Stiles and Heather almost having sex?" Scott asked and I looked up at him. He had a slight smirk on his face.
"No it wasn't," I defended, "Plus, I'm with, was with Derek so it doesn't matter."
"What happened with him anyway? Everyone noticed the tension between you two last night. It was so thick, I could practically taste it." Scott asked.
"Nothing." I said, standing up. "I don't wanna talk about it. I'm going home to change. Text me when you guys are ready. I left out and walked up the street to my house. I quickly get showered and dressed. I sit on my bed waiting for the text to let me know to come outside. I held the leather jacket in my hands and remembered when Derek gave it to me. It was after he saved my from Jackson the first time I was attacked. I felt my eyes slightly burn as tears filled them. I was just so angry and hurt.
