Chapter Forty Four
I'm attempting to write this chapter like the episode it's based off of. Season 3, Episode 5: Frayed. The italicized words will be like mini flashbacks.
Mac's POV
"Stop thinking about it guys." Isaac said to Boyd and I. We were currently on the bus to a Cross Country meet. He sat next to Boyd while I sat in the seat beside them.
"Like you're not thinking about it too." Boyd responded but I kept quiet. I was thinking about. It was all that I could think about. I kept watching it play over and over in my head.
"Let's all stop thinking about it." Isaac said. Of course he was too. Derek was... I can't even say it. It hurts too much to think about.
"I can't." Boyd said.
"Well, there's nothing you can do about it either." Isaac said, slightly angering me. I know he didn't mean it in the way I took it.
"You sure about that?" Boyd asked and turned his head slightly, looking at the lonesome Alpha twin. I followed his gaze and glared angrily at Ethan. I wanted his head on a stick.
"Woah, Mac." Isaac said, "Relax. You're gonna blow the whole bus up." I looked down at my hand and it was starting to flame up. I closed my hand into a fist and took at deep breathe. The seat became slightly charred.
"I can't control it." I said, speaking for the first time of the trip. Speaking for the first time since it happened. Over and over in my head.
I let out a scream, my throat becoming sore. I jumped from my place next to Alison, off the ledge and landing with ease.
I looked down off the other ledge and let out a scream of agony. No, please let this be a dream.
"Lady McCall!" I heard a voice say, pulling my eyes from the skyline and out of the memory. I looked up to see Coach standing near me. "You okay? You look pale. You're not gonna throw up, are you?"
"No Coach, I'm fine." I said and looked back out the window. My involvement with the situation all started after Scott went to see Derek. He discovered the Alpha's were in the same building as the Argent father and daughter. Scott went to tell Derek when he found out that Derek, Cora, Boyd, and Peter already knew and were making a plan of attack.
"Why is the go-to answer always death and murder?" Scott asked annoyed. He gathered Stiles, Isaac, and I to tell us about Derek's crazy and suicidal plan.
"Well, Peter is helping the plan. So are two other Hales. It seems like murder is a family thing." Stiles said sarcastically. We were all sitting in my room, in a circle.
"Peter was actually against it." Scott informed us, "Mac, can't you talk to him?" He asked but I quickly shook my head. Hell no. I refuse to face Derek after what happened at the loft. It's been about a week and a half since it happened. The only people I told were Isaac and Alison. I planned on keeping it that way too. I was embarrassed and hurt. "Why not?"
"Cause he's a dick." I simply stated, using a tone to get him to drop it.
"Okay, when is this going to happen?" Isaac asked, changing the subject.
"Tomorrow night." Scott said.
"Oh great, you guys have the last 24 to say goodbye and live your life to the fullest." Stiles said sarcastically again. We, of course, ignored him.
